I sure don't miss those 1-8 nights! 0-3 from three point range The thing with his percentage is that his shots for the most part are WIDE OPEN shots created by a big man. So it's really inexcusable to shoot such a low %
With 8 assists and 1 turn over to Lowry's 2 assists and 4 turn overs and our PGs getting lit up by Barea... We all knew Rafer's shooting isn't his strength, but turn overs and Barea lighting us up were the only reason Dallas was really in the game tonight. Rafer was +7 for his time in the game while Lowry was -7. It was good to see Lowry finishing around the hoop though and I think he can be a solid player. But I do think Rafer does a better job than Brooks or Lowry in calming the team down and running the offense when they get in a funk for several possesions or the game gets tight. Turn overs and bad shots were a problem tonight despite the win. One game for each player doesn't tell you much though and both teams won tonight which in the end is all that matters.
What about the entire season when this team went into a funk late in the fourth quarter when Rafer was on the court. Or the fact that he shot 25% from the field in the 4th quarter this season? I completely disagree and think this team is moving in a good direction with the Brooks/Lowery tandem. And you really made Rafer look good mentioning that he had 3pts. and 8 assists. What you failed to mention was that he was 1-9 from the field and 0-3 from the 3point line.
