That was a polite way of expressing disappointment with Rafer as well with V-Span and JL-3 IMO. You may recall management tried to move him in the off season partly because of his antics. I think Morey appreciates Rafer now but obviously wants to upgrade the position as well.
Whether people like it or not, Rafer brings value to this team. He holds this team together. He's never going to be ranked among the "great" point guards in this league. But his leadership on the floor cannot be underestimated. We have all seen how the team just falls apart when he's not around. I certainly would not mind an upgrade at the point guard position for the Rockets -- it's a given that this has been the weakest position in our depth chart for a long time. But props to Rafer for doing what he does. He makes the Rockets go. And I appreciate him tremendously for that. Also, I would like to point out that ever since I added him to my fantasy team a month ago, he has been tremendous for me off the bench -- churning out 15 point-8 assist-1 turnover nights on a regular basis.
While this is funny, does it have to do with the machine assuming Rafer would maintain the same minutes and PER, thus taking away minutes from Steve Nash? If so, just about every point guard in the league would produce this result.
