I'm going to take a guess. The top part of the woman was real and she didn't have much of her lower body. Lots of people have no legs. She was obviously good with just her arms so she's been without legs for a while. The bottom was fake in the sense that it was built to help this legless lady move around like normal. Basically, star wars luke skywalker type of robotic legs. That's my best guess.
I'd say it was done the same way you do the saw a person in half trick, there are two people pretending to be one.

Ya I did, especially when the lady started to hobble away, the best part is how she screamed and then just ran off. Cool trick though. Like another poster said, I might have thrown up if I saw that for real.
saw this before, on metacafe, along with other criss angle's clips. this guys is amazing! simply the best i've ever seen. if you think this is from legless-lady with fake legs, check out another clip in which he had himself cut in two halves, and let everyone there walking in between and around his upper and lower body parts. wow!
I saw a vid where CA himself shows how the lev trick is done and it is silly when the illusion is spoiled. It is always the most obvious explanation -- distraction, camera tricks, and confederates.
FAKEE. why do criss angel tricks have audiences with a small amount of people? i'm pretty positive that his show is set up. if not, even though it is a far stretch, then that is some devil type **** there.
I laughed. Especially when they went into black and white. I tend to agree with the (2) short people theory.
I love magic so much. Guys like David Blaine does street magic where I say that's pretty damn cool, and it's "more realistic" illusions. Criss's stuff is so out there that I know there are camera tricks and maybe midgets or amputees involved, but I still marvel. Had I been there live I'd probably screamed and ran away. The lady being cut in half-her reaction and screaming was hilarious.

Okay now that I see it from that angle it's definitely 1 small person and 1 person w/o lower appendages. At first when watching the video it's like how can someone be that short and have such thick legs. Now I see it better with that photo.
