Alright let's not get ahead of ourselves here... but I hope you're right. (At the same time, f$&k Steph, Klay, and especially Dray).

I don’t really see the direct comparison to Steph, Klay, and Draymond. I really can’t think of many Big Threes similar to a potential Green / Sengun / Amen core. I mean, there’s LeBron / Wade / Bosh for the guard / forward / bigman comparison, but their makeups were different.

I think it's hard to find a comparison because there are so many outliers.

Who's the fastest wing duo in history? I don't think there's a close second.

How many C's are like Sengun?

How many teams hand over the offensive reigns to a bunch of kids?

    Special team we got.

Yeah my guess was that they were not trying to imply that that trio is similar in play style to our trio, but it was just the best/most successful trio that was organically built (all drafted, like our guys) that they could think of... or that I can think of right now tbh. Durant+Worstbrick+Harden coulda been up there, though.

As far GOAT talking goes, I’ll say this: Amen is shaping up to be the GOAT wing defender. The way he affects the game is just impressive.

There have been many stretches of hot play for Jalen Green over the years, consistency across the season has always been the issue. Seems like there's real chemistry with Amen though in a way Jabari never had with him. Gotta keep this rolling.

Amen is our best player though, it's clear.

This should be the king of the threads now. The Jabari injury did Udoka a big favor. The Sengun/Amen/Green era has begun and there are 2 role player jobs available for the taking. The team might also acquire a superstar for one of those roles.

Our destiny is clear. They are the core...

    of the core...
    of the core.

They said the parts don't fit but honestly the only part that doesn't fit anymore is Brooks and the only missing thing is one big volume elite shooter for the next 2-3 years. Everything else fits to a T and we will be title contenders next season. It's very clear now no matter what we do we'll have a ton of data and a very solid base to get to 55+ wins.

We just need to buy Sengun/Amen/Jalen time to work on their jumpers. That's all we're doing here. You do that by putting 2 elite catch and shooters around them. Those guys need to be competent at taking some more difficult ones too. Those 2 for now are Jabari and FVV. In the future, Cam/Tari/Sheppard will be vying for FVV's spot. Hopefully we re-sign Fred at a discount.

Brooks is 36.9% on 4.8 attempts + defense + negative in transition + culture setter
    Jabari is 38.1% on 4.2 attempts + defense + rebounding + blocks + 7'1 wingspan
FVV is 38.1% on 3.4 attempts + elite asst/to ratio + best at attacking closeouts + culture setter

    Sengun
Who's the best fit for this team?
    Amen
    Green
    FVV

    The choice is obvious.

We're like the Wu Tang Clan of basketball

Or the original Menudo if that's your thing.

    I’d swap Jalen for Eason

    Thompson
    Eason
    Sengun

3 best overall young players. Jalen, Whitmore, Smith and especially Sheppard are still questionable as being starter level guys at this point.

Our 3 best players are 2 terrible shooters and one bad shooter. We need elite shooters around these guys. Fred and Jalen when hot make the team look terrific, when off we’re cooked.

Yeah, no. Sorry. There's just simply no defending this position anymore.

Im not here to defend them, or to force others to accept them.

Just giving them as my very own, in earnest.

For another (albeit less so) "screw these guys on principle as a Rockets fan" trio, how about Parker, Ginobili, and Duncan as a point of comparison?
