Most posters are not Jalen hating, I actually told him it's a sub category of people and specified a small number.

He didn't say the last ten games is an upward trend of scoring you should compare to last season. He was using it as an example. He was saying Jalen might be shooting 38% in the last 10 games. Here's the post you also cherry-picked:

Half the data is missing if you want to draw the conclusion that he's not on a better upward trend this season as compared to last season as an overall player.

But if you don't care about that and you want to draw the conclusion that Jalen sucks, none of the data is missing you're right. It's all there, literally all of it in your post history. It's not WRONG data. I know. It just happens to be ALL the negative data and very little of the positive data. Just happens to be.

Think about it, Jaters are dwindling. There were like 30 of em and now there's 12. You're in the last 12. That's a hardcore one I honestly didn't expect you to be here. If you were "open to data" guy you'd be optimistic about a stable and consistent future right now more than at any other point in his career.

If you were just doing analysis, you would have told him 10 games is not a sufficient sample. And if those 10 games were good games, you wouldn't have charted it and posted it. That's the pattern, maybe you're unaware of it. I'm not unaware I'm a huge Green fan.

Dude. It’s a rolling 10-game average - every trend line chart in any field uses rolling averages to smooth out randomness. You could use rolling 5, rolling 15, etc and the trends will be the same. It’s not anti-Green or arbitrary. And it shows what you’d expect - he started strong, slumped, now he’s trending upwards and if he avoids the huge slump he had last year over the next 20 games, his season averages will be far ahead.

And he isn’t including defense because that’s not what he was posting about. He also didn’t talk about how amazing Amen is or why we should extend Framber.

The Green hate is coming from people whose personal egos are so tied up in their opinions they cannot read or think critically - everything is an attack and they cannot show “weakness” so they repeat the same stuff every post and knee jerk react to everything, and resort to attacking intent when they can’t understand or defend the data. It’s classic narcissist behavior.

    Don’t be like that.

I'm not doubting methodology, I'm doubting hypothesis and scope. I'm also doubting that the poster is unbiased, but the work seems reliable. I know him. :)

As I've been telling a friend on messages, bro when this happens the celebration is going to be brutal for them. I'm not trying to be Mr Nice Guy once the data is out. 3.5 years of "attacking intent when they can’t understand or defend the data" ad nauseam. I took it so that when it came time to dish it out, they don't say I only dish it out. PLENTY of it was personal. "Tari should start" >>> "You're only saying that to protect Green" do you have any idea that I haven't been able to discuss any player on the roster for like 2 years now without one of these rabid Jaters forcing me to prove a non-provable thing that it's not always about Jalen?

I promise I won't be like that with anyone else except those 5 final Jaters but to be honest I deserve the heads up from you and looking out for me. I appreciate that.

If you think I am hater and trying to draw a negative conclusion you are out of your mind. We were discussing green’s offense with corrosion, and roslolian had responses to that. The whole discussion was scoring. It was so obvious for me that I didn’t even understand that you were talking about defensive data when you said half the data is missing.

Guess what? I think exactly that. If you weren’t playing hater cop all the time you would have noticed it. There were always about 5 haters, and that’s about it. But yeah, I don’t feel the need to write it under every post.

My whole post is telling him 10 game is not a sufficient sample. I am putting in time and do a very sound analysis (because I really wonder the answer)not something I get by going to a website and you come across saying I am a hater. If you have different conclusions or different analysis, you are welcome to offer them. If I wanted to conclude green sucks, which wasn’t even my conclusion, there are many easier ways of doing that such as stating a stat like on/off that he is bad at.

and those 10 games are good games, I was wondering if that is enough to see that he has broken out of his regular window. So far it doesn’t look like it to me.

That isnt supposed to be evidence it is different from last year, the other dude said he isnt seeing any upward trend. A trend is a rolling sample size. What that sample size is arguable but it is still an upward trend.

Like what I told Meh it will be impossible to provide evidence it is different from last year as the season isnt done yet. But the pattern of JG is he improves after ASB.

yes, that’s what I wondered and what was part of my discussion with him. I said my feeling was he was playing better and I dived into the numbers to back that up. If he keeps it up now, it will be solid evldence that he is doing better than last year.

Amen might go down as the 2nd best Rocket of all time. Finally get that cursed #1 jersey retired.

These three fellas won us the game against the Grizzlies!! The end of the 4th quarter was pretty much all Jalen, Alpi and Amen (and a little bit of Fred Magic)

Jalen is just having his usual end of the year empty stats run...

    In January?

    For crucial wins?

    Against top competition

Yeah, at least in the regular season Jalen Green absolutely does belong in this core of the core group.

When Jalen is playing like he's playing now, this team is hard to beat.

I couldn't watch the game, but looking at the boxscore, it looks like Jalen had an awesome game. That's great. Beating Memphis twice in a row is a big statement.

If Jalen can keep this up, we can go VERY far.

Only hand full of players have had bigger scoring games then Jalen, and you named none of them.

What a wonderful, fantastic night to be a Houston fan.

JG+Amen+Alperen are looking like the next Steph+Klay+Draymond. Watch the F out…
