Alpi no longer has the confidence of a second option on offense, let alone a first. We naturally know nothing about how exactly he's coached, but it's no secret that Udoka forbids him to make "fancy moves" and there's no denying he's turned into a big stiff this year with needless Ben Simpsonesque passes when he should be taking shots. What's just as sad is that he's desperately trying to stay within an offensive system that doesn't even exist. I wish he would just do what he wanted and play as he wanted, even at the risk of getting benched, because it's obvious that Ime doesn't know how to use him efficiently.
Did Sengun hire Ömer Aşık as his personal coach this season? If so, he obviously didn't learn well from him on the defensive end but inherited Aşık's touch on offsenive end very well.
Maybe youre right. I'm not sure what that has to do with missing point blank in the restricted area shots. He will get it right though in my opinion.
Someone stole all his touch he had around the rim from last season. Just stone hands bricking easy shots
I mean it’s obviously a joke. Full stop. Having acknowledged that - it’s ironic a joke masks the reality of his lack of rim protection and why Jokic will never overtake a 2 way monster like Dream. As for Alpi man the TO’s and terrible finishing at the rim are inexcusable but he did some great things as well tonight. His foul drawing prowess is a game changer.
what are you talking about? They blitz Edwards with Sengun. That was Ime wanted and it succeeded. other wise you don't log 35 minutes when you sat nearly 8 minutes of the first if you're not doing it correctly because those 1,000 turnovers would have sat any player on the bench. You guys watch with selective eyes. As to the playoffs it happens to all of them. Some of you claim to know ball smh. 1 airball for Edwards, 1 turn over to Eason, 1 blind pass to Conley for the turnover in the last 4 minutes. All from his defense. The bunnies.Snake bit at this point. An outlier year.
Who's running out of excuses? You said he was worse than Bruno Fernando, how's Bruno doing these days? He can't even make an NBA roster. Then you said he was a bench player at best, not starter material. Now he's a starter and key piece on a top 4 seed 50+ win team. Then you said he would never be an all star, and then what happened? Get over yourself dude, you've been wrong at every stop. Maybe look in the mirror.
Alperen had 5 of Rockets 9 total OREB. Only 2 other Rockets had more than 1 OREB. And OREB are critical to Rockets offensive success.
What happened to Sengun’s touch around the rim? He definitely wasn’t like this in previous seasons—he’s been missing a lot of gimmes this season.
1st off, I wasn’t even talking about him defensively because that goes without saying… so u typed up that paragraph for nothing
