Just the extra game time from Amen alone is going to drastically improve this team's defense. I cannot wait for this season.
This has nothing to do with Ime, the rest of the young guys besides Reed(who hasn’t had a chance to play with Sengun) just have very little feel for the game and are out there trying to get their own. Ime called a timeout after they went down in the first quarter and coming out they immediately posted Sengun up twice in a row. Ime cannot burn all his timeouts hand holding his players to make the right passes after that. The reality is that it’s either Sengun going 1 on 1 or one of the other young guys trying to do it on their own. Fred is the only player on the roster who synergizes his game with Sengun where they can play off of each other, that’s why Fred is not going anywhere anytime soon, we will extend him after his contract expires. Sheppard is the only other guy that also has the iq to fit his game around Sengun, which is why despite Reed being a natural point guard, the starting sg better watch his back because Reed can compliment Fvv and Sengun’s game while others can only “go off” to the detriment of everyone else’s offense.
what else would be his priority? The thing is that the easiest way to get a max is to develop a two man game with Sengun.
