With the rise of amen and green performance on this hot win streak and sengun being out. The title of franchise player isn't set in stone like it was just a month ago much to the displeasure of sengunatics. It's a nice problem to have as a rockets fan.
I am only happy that Amen and Green are playing fantastically and get the recognition they should get, rather than 'oh, amen cannot shoot, he will never win a championship' or let's start aaron holiday for amen. And as it has been the case always, there is more erratic behavior from the haters than the 'sengunatics'. There might be some 'sengunatics' who have a displeasure as you mentioned, but I see much more of pleasure from the haters that this happened while sengun is out and an effort to illogically relate the current success to sengun's absence. Both types are toxic. Why do you choose to ignore the other side completely, when actually the other side of the coin is way more visible?
Hey, we wanted folks around the league to talk about the Rockets - can't whine about it now that they are......this is what you get. DD
I think the org will keep them both, but if you want to have an exercise in what they might be thinking, then this is the place. 1. Building around Sengun is harder than building around Green, he has flaws that are not easily fixed, slowness of foot, and limited athletic ability. Now he makes it up by being a SUPER HIGH IQ player - but you need specific types of players to cover his weaknesses, and right now the Rockets don't have many of those - outside of Jabari - they would need to find tall athletic wings, with 3pt shots to cover for his slowness on defense. And might look at trading Jalen if someone like that came available and they have decided to build around Alpi. 2. Building around Green with an everyone switches on defense is much easier with this current roster construction they have wings, galore, and they have a big now to play defense in Stephen Adams and a decent backup in Landale. Now, Green's BBall IQ is nowhere near Alpi's - but his athleticism is off the charts, and his ability to create off the bounce is good for when things are breaking down. Most of the roster fits with a Green led team already, including Alpi.... However, the team might be better off focused on a wide open switch everything style, and Alpi does not fit that, at the moment.....I contend he will be able to, eventually in his own way, but right now, he doesn't. So, what is Stone to do? Go ALL IN on Ime's style of offense with bigs that can shoot the 3 and switch everything on the perimeter like he had in Boston, or does he embrace Sengun's BBall IQ and figure out how to build a hybrid around them both? It is not as cut and dried as we might think - and unfortunately all we can do is wait and see. DD
Lol for over two years now, people have been telling Clutch exactly this about Alpi’s defense, Jalen’s shooting, and so many other aspects of our young core.
If stone thinks about trading any of green Sengun and amen he is the biggest idiot in the world. You won’t always play spurs, wizards, Utah etc and you won’t always play in regular season.
Looks like a star-duo to me right now, that aint a problem at all. Hopefully Green will continue to look like a future superstar and it'll piss off the weirdo Sengtards to the point they rage until banning. Then we'll just have the Sengun fans who became real Rockets fans left and we can all enjoy our 2 stars winning together the way it's supposed to be. Someone keep poking that invocuck guy, he's prime to get himself banned with his rage rants.
In my opinion, this is a great disrespect, no matter who it is done to, Alperen jalen jabari, it doesn't matter, he said everyone's name except Alperen, if I were Alperen, I really wouldn't continue to stay in this team, but it should be professional.
