I saw Sengun last night miss multiple open passes because he is becoming a tunnel vision score-first type player. This is scary to me.

Double Sengun, run Fred off the 3point line. Let Brooks/Green/Jabari chuck from 3. It's a pretty easy strategy to employ.

Excuses. Teams are playing him different defensively & he hasn't adjusted well. His defense needs to get better because it's hurting the team. Bol Bol outhustling him for rebounds is unacceptable

100% agree what happened to the flamingo shot? He needs to shoot it early in games to open up the rest of his offense.

I think in the second half it was almost like they were instructed to go to Sengun because even Holiday threw it in to him. While in the first half, he only had 1 FGA, 2 lazy entry passes that resulted in 2 turnovers and didn't touch the ball.

What they did against the Knicks is what I'd like to see more of. He only took 12 shots but from the first second of the first quarter he always touched the ball. That's how you get your players in rhythm. Everybody else had their shots and then some.

The team needs to learn how to beat the double team, it’s a collective effort. It seems like they have no plan when Sengun gets doubled other than just passing it back out and letting the defense reset. Sengun also needs to stop turning the ball over on the double teams. This is on all 3 of Sengun, Udoka, and the other players on the floor. If Sengun is good enough that he gets immediately double teamed every time he catches the ball he has to have a way to take advantage of that gravity.

If it seems like they have no plan it is mostly on udoka. If it seems like they can’t execute the plan then it is on the players.

Saw the stats from last night's game in the TL via Mitty. It parallel's Sengun's defensive improvements all season, why he is still the highest rated defender who isn't injured.
Granted, Feb has been a more grueling 8 games than the previous 3 months.

Another off season training session, this time with Aquaman, plus the lessons learned from 2023 should make a promising next leap.

His body isn't there yet to be the hub and the chaos on defense delusional fans expect him to be right now. But he is getting there. Next step is pacing yourself within the game to be able to do it night in night out like Drexler would say.

23 pts/10 rebounds/7 assists with a 108 def rating is realistic. Oh and at age 22.

We have to do a better job getting Sengun involved, and we need reliable 3 point shooters.

    Horrible play.

Why do that when he can run around not touching the ball but just setting screens for darling Jalen.

Getting Tari back will help too, and Amen and Jabari will be a year older.

We should have a top-5 defense for years to come with all those guys. It's more about the creativity of the offense, and shooting...

I think they need to get the hell off the pick and roll and post-ups and revamp the offense to D-HOs and Princeton actions.

This is how you take advantage of a C that can handle the ball. Look at all the open god damn shots off-ball... It is ridiculous that we don't have a top-10 offense with a talent like Alperen. We are running the wrong stuff.

95% of the lob threats will never win a championship because you defend as a team.

Celtics leading the list of top rebounding team as 46.9 rpg and Houston at #5 with 45.8.

As Amen will get more time and Tari will be there next year, it wouldn't be a surprise Rockets to be 50 rpg team next season, much better than any NBA team.

Hope Rockets gets less whistles for fouls. Only Detroit makes more fouls than Rockets. Fakers got 251 less whistles, Celts got 228 less, Knicks 176 fewer. I know that NBA is corrupt/biased league but we should be ready to fight. As one of the Turkish footballer said in the past: "if you want to be champion, you have to beat referres also".

Part of why that is was because the Rockets limit other teams to lower shooting percentages on the perimeter and then get the rebounds, and they also brick very much on the road and get the rebounds.
