Why do they even suit him up when he is clearly not 100% fit and hurting......very confounding shet by Stone and Udoka. Don't make a trade for a backup and then continue to re-injure your existing players.
On Defense there is probably nobody that resembles the Dream and Bill Russell like Victor Wembanyama...... On Offense Alperen emulated the Dream's Game.
No most wanted your boy Green traded after almost 40 pure dog-**** games. The only ones wanting Sengun traded are the Turkish guys who just became Rockets fans due to Alpi. They are truly SOF's which is understandable given they became Rockets fans solely because of him. I have no issues with them at all and am glad they now support the Rockets even if they get mad at the team for any perceived slights of their favorite player.
The top tier Sengun haters are just bad posters with very little understanding of basketball, who value players like kpj or wood. They are not liked in general in the forum. Their main disguise is ‘I don’t like Sof or I am rockets fan’. other than that I don’t see a particular negativity towards Sengun. There is tons of negativity towards other players as well. The difference is maybe the existence of sof who joined the forums is a problem for some and creates some reaction. A bad sof poster is way more visible than a bad poster, due to language, and recent join date. And then there is hakeem94 and atw with their ultimate belief in Sengun which pisses some off too. lastly there is prejudice. I see that some posters who I thought were haters had better intentions. But I also faced the ‘you are sof, you don’t care about the rockets’ card quite a lot of times, which I know for a fact is not true. I am assuming that is a long lasting effect of lof .
I really am starting to dislike how they use Sengun on offense. He almost never touches the ball around the high post, instead having to be a DHO player at the 3 point line or a postup by the basket. It's absurd how many times we are asking him to take players off the dribble 30ft at the center of the court. He needs to be deployed as the passing hub to maximize his abilities. The moment we do that, we will start to actually look like a cohesive offensive unit instead of the some weird amalgamation of 1999 concepts and schemes.
On defense, I think I saw a change in how they used him, together with Amen - he seemed to "blitz" players together with Amen out on the 3-point line, rather than hanging back at the basket all the time. I liked that - it gave the Knicks trouble. Of course, someone else needs to cover at the basket then. I could see how that could work really great next year with Steven Adams. I just love the developing chemistry between Alpi and Amen. Alpi, Amen, Tari, Bari, Cam - KEEPERS.
Who is this "Robert Land" dude? Is his user name here @rocketchamp? This guy has been hating on Sengun even more than certain other people on Twitter. and so on and on and on and on...endless stream of tweets full of negativity...also about some other Rockets, but definitely targeting Sengun.
He was on the "Let's trade Sengun for Dyson Daniels" bandwagon for the last 2 years; he was quiet until mid-January, but I guess now that Alpi is struggling, he's back at it. I was listening to his space with Frank the other day; dude has no idea about basketball, regardless of his opinions of Sengun.
He strikes me as a guy who is just trying to grow his brand by farming engagement and stirring ****. He probably doesn't even believe what he says. He's just trying to get people mad so they respond to his posts, so he can further his own career. I can't really be too mad about it because he probably doesn't make **** for money. But I don't take him seriously.
good find. On the post up passing, I think Sengun should execute quicker and sharply. That will hopefully come with time. On the other hand the team is generally not good at moving off-ball and not good shooters. And that doesn’t help at all. Ironically the problem is guards can’t space the floor as well as Sengun. It is probably a bigger problem.
That's the issue with FVV being out. No one else on the team can hit him on the roll or do a post entry pass. I take that back Jalen does hit Sengun occasionally on the roll, but not to the extent that FVV does.
Robert is just an annoying grumpy d******d who likes his own voice a little bit too much. When you listen to him you realize how much likes to be a contrarian. He almost never agrees with anyone on anything. When you listen to him you'd think nothing is going well with this team. It must be hell being this d******d's wife. I know it well because my dad was that d******d.
