And would've had a ring now if only that idiot knockoff Ron Jeremy of a coach had opted to go on with Rafer Alston instead of Jameer the Mediocre Midget who was returning from a very long injury break. Fat Baggosh.t and the Midge cost Orlando the championship.
Sengun can contribute to the game in different ways unlike those 2. He could stop shooting one day and be a facilitator and still have an effect on game. We could just post him up wait him to get doubled, trippled on the perimeter and make the open 3 when he kicks it out. He could just drive to the rim for the sole purpose of kicking it out to Jabari waiting in the corner in the last second. He can generate open looks for others whenever he wants. Coaches love these guys because they are their extensions on the floor. You can't call a timeout every time you want. If you have a high iq versatile player on your team you can count on him coming up with a play that actually works. To be able to read the game and manipulate it the way you want is a very rare and valuable skill and some players are capable of that . Honestly basketball is a very strange sport because the smallest things could end the night for you and your team. 30 seconds of dumb****ery could result in 10-0 run for your opponent. So a guy who lacks talent to be a starter in NBA could become a starter only because he recognizes mismatches, values sharing the ball etc. These insignificant looking skills could help your team win 6 more games in a season and make you a valuable member. Sengun is a good basketball player he has these little things in his bag which adds up and makes him a great player. So if someone compares Sengun to Lavine/Green i'm automatically going to assume that his understanding of bb is very shallow. Lavine and Green are pure scorers, bad off ball defenders that do not contribute to their teams when their shots aren't falling and the only way for them to become + players is to score 30 a night. To average 30 ppg you take 25 shots a take and nobody takes 25 shots. That's why they are always on the bad side of +/-.
All I will say this morning is that we are in BUSINESS baby. Amen and Alperen have weird Tony Parker and Tim Duncan chemistry. Jabari Smith is a PROFESSIONAL... ASSASSIN... Mature beyond his years. Cam and Tari are DOGs. Those Nets picks are coming baby! WATCH THE F OUT!!!
Some guys are just projecting their inner insecurities, whether that is optimism or pessimism......all the same. Blaring out the best case scenarios and then top it off with a massive cherry. Future is relatively bright, suffices to say...
Exactly. Look at what people are complaining about, it's totally ridiculous. If Jalen was doing this they would be calling him a superstar.
The funny thing is, even I agree he had a bad game for his standards, but he casually dropped 24/12/10 and carried us - if Jalen Green and Cam Whitmore and Amen Thompson don't go 2-12 from three but 5-12 - we could win that game.
Nah, Boston wasn't serious they literally tried a pass off the backboard as their first shot, they toyed with us last night. DD
If we had like, Derrick White instead of Jalen--a good but not great starting shooting guard--Alpi probably averages a full assist more just from that alone.
When Alp was in FT line his 18/10/10 numbers were on the screen and they were very reluctant to mention about. There are sports commentators, score commentators and NBA commentators, slightly r****d ones.
