I loved Yao but Sengun's 3rd year numbers are better than Yao's 1st, 2nd or 3rd year numbers and he became all star thanks to Chinese voters let's not kid each other. Is prime Yao better than him? Yes. Is 21 year old Sengun better than 24 year old Yao? Also yes. I want Sengun to become all star because i want us to have a face after Harden. Also being an all star might be a motivation for him and he could start working harder to sharpen his tools. Players, coaches praise him after every game. Being on the same court with them, being 'friends' with them might help us indirectly but i do not give a damn about all star selections i don't even watch the game. It's a popularity contest and i rarely find myself agreeing with voters. Even if Sengun gets selected i will skip it as usual. I do not watch pre-season games either they are all meaningless.
