He played very assertive tonight. Loved his energy and physicality down low. All we gotta do is get this man a realiable free throw shot.
Future HOFer though. Dubs missed that Saric had 18 off the pine as well, it was not like they had no big man.
I'd throw in 3 pt shooting. He had a good night tonight, but needs at least 4 more games of him shooting well from 3 for me to feel that he's added it to his arsenal.
He added taking the shots for sure. That's the most important part. With his shooting form, his current 33% 3pt% should be the minimum in the long run.
You know what's crazy? He could have done all this last year already. And the year before last year. Some of us saw it early, and have been seeing it all along. They just didn't let him. They prioritized the chucking guards who played no defense, and scapegoated him and held him back. And a very relevant part of the fanbase supported that.
Watching Stone and Silas enable that gremlin KPJ for the past 3 years was easily the 3 worst years of any organized professional team I’ve ever seen. Anybody who wants to credit Stone is an absolute fool. The last 3 years were a complete waste.
Alpi's defense against Curry wasn't even that bad on this play, Curry is just a GOAT shooter. Imagine them playing together...I bet Curry wishes...
Build around Sengun. The actual core is: Alperen Sengun. That's it. This is what the actual core is. Guys like Jalen and Jabari are obviously more valuable than Landale, for example, and can establish themselves as part of the core around Alpi, but they still have to prove they are the right fits. Most of the fans here get it.
