They're glazing the hell out of sengun in the pod with Tim Legler, lol Sengun starts at 28:46 but its 45 minutes of straight Rockets talk.
How ATW feels after dedicating 3 thousand hours to loving Sengun You did it sir, you won everything. Congratulations
You just don't get it buddy. Anything shy of gushing effusively over Sengun's every pump fake and 3ft floater makes you a "hater". Suggesting there are things he needs to work on means you're a nonbeliever who wants him to fail and any form of constructive criticism is sacrilege. You are going to have to just accept that Sengun is a leading MVP candidate already and likely would have been an All-Star first 2 season were it not for that that racist, homophobic, antisemitic, misogynistic basketball jingoist Stephen Silas. Sengun's supreme greatness in undeniable so discussing him on par with any of his teammates is an act against nature. The sooner you understand this the better off you'll be. Your sarcasm and mockery of the zealots in the Temple of Sengun will not be tolerated.
@Ankara1923 you would love these guys’ analysis. Particularly the one on the right. He is great at describing intangibles that we see and feel on the court.
100% worth 2 first round picks and in my view everyone debating Green vs Mobley is still making the wrong debate. They should be debating Sengun vs Mobley, and in my opinion, Sengun is the better player. Can't wait to watch the Cleveland game.
Yes, I will make a return with my banned account "Swedish-Olajuwon" aka Boggy Couscous to sing a serenade dedicated to Alperen Sengun with my broken english.
I’ve talked about both the need to stop pump faking and the things he needs to improve on. Pretty sure no one has called me a Sengun hater yet.
I don't think there's any question Sengun is better than Mobley. Mobley is the better defensive player. But on offense, Sengun is miles ahead. What remains to be seen is whether Green is better than Mobley. Green has improved on his defense and play making. But his shooting is still wildly inconsistent. Mobley's offense has not improved a bid after two seasons. If it remains to be just on that level, he won't be a guy you can build around, just a nice complementary player.
I get not comparing Sengun and Jokic, but Sabonis and Sengun are pretty comparable right now, even discarding the age difference. Sengun's 20/8/6 line on .625 TS% seems pretty comparable to Sabonis's 18/12/7 line on .61 TS%. Not to mention that Sengun, currently, has better defensive metrics than Sabonis (for example, Sengun's defensive rating of 107 v. Sabonis's 111).
Well, I look at it this way, big picture, the Rockets took a flyer on a potentially generational athletic 2 guard (it's still a guards league, though, maybe more a forwards) who, though I'm not opposed to trading at this point, the jury is still out until Udoka and Co get one full season with. Then the Rockets drafted the best Center in the draft. As far as I'm concerned, Rockets did right, and believe me, it's taken me a while to get there.
