There’s still things that I wanna see him improve on.. I just felt like his defense would hold him back, but now I see it was poor coaching and no vets that made it hard for him. I’m on board, I’m not changing my mind bc he’s only gonna get better
Man, those hot takes have aged like rotten cheese, lol. I mean, reading them makes me go like this: I'm laughing so hard right now at larsv8 and all the other idiots who dug themselves holes so deep they are doing mental acrobatics to excuse their major bias against the best player the Rockets have.
Still, takes a strong man to admit when they’re wrong and not make excuses or hedging. I had to eat my words on CJ. It happens
Respect. Agree, he is not a finished product (no center was at 21). free throw shooting 3-point shooting stop hesitating on threes further improve defensive instincts and positioning keep working on strength and athleticism assert yourself when it matters, don't defer - dominate, without becoming selfish keep focus when it gets tight, avoid costly missed free throws and silly turnovers late in games Those are the ones I can think of from the top of my head. But the kid has heart and passion for the game, a natural feel for the game, and the drive to keep getting better. Ime has unlocked him and has shown that, in the right system, he can be a plus defender, and that lack of height and lack of athleticism are not going to stop him from becoming a top player in the NBA. As is obvious, I always believed that this would happen, under the right coach, and with the right teammates. Not about running victory laps, I'm just happy because I love seeing the Rockets win, and I really enjoy seeing this kid play.
Agreed. He plays with an edge that I don’t see with the other young guys. Dude is a fierce competitor and plays with so much passion. He’s a jumper away from being a superstar. Crazy to think he’s only 21. Silas really ain’t ****, man smh
For some reason, I even kinda liked you when we vehemently argued and insulted each other, because you sometimes poked fun at yourself, and you weren't as mean-spirited as guys like @larsv8 and @34to11 and @SamFisher.
Haha same. I was just mad that we were so bad and felt the need to **** on some players. I was even more wrong thinking that woman beating pos would stay out of trouble
I'm on a plane and for a few minutes, couldn't get to the BBS, but other websites worked. Briefly thought @Clutch had banned me for being too pro-Sengun and poking a bit of fun at him for the "Nope." . To check, I went to the main page www.clutchfans.net, and uuugh...saw KPJ's ugly mug there.
I think a good stat to track would be rebounds + box outs. The box outs don't show up in traditional stat sheets, but are just as important, and the more unselfish play.
Speaking of box outs, I am super glad that Udoka also saw that as an issue and has been implementing box out drills. Tired of screaming at my TV the last 3 year about how a bunch of red jerseys insisted on just standing around the rim and let anyone from the other team get clear lanes for the offensive board. That **** pissed me off to no end.
They're glazing the hell out of sengun in the pod with Tim Legler, lol Sengun starts at 28:46 but its 45 minutes of straight Rockets talk.
