If so, I didn't know. I thought she was banned in a campaign where all SOFs were banned in the past months. If so, I apologize.
He just posted on this thread today. Basically took my profile picture and put Hitler's face on it instead of Alpi's, and is posting in the GARM with that. Look a few posts above yours. There used to be a rule to not bring politics into forums outside the D&D. It appears to me that putting Hitler on your profile picture and posting in the GARM might not quite be a case of following that rule...but what do I know.
Who was banned, I also did not keep track...... I think she was banned a while back, at least 8 months ago.......
Alpi is currently the best of the 6 draft picks. I’d like to see more of a focus on getting him the ball in the post. No one under 7’ 4 can guard him one on one.
If I had to rank them as of today, it would probably be: Alpi Tari Jalen Jabari Amen Cam ...with the sample size still being too small to judge Amen and Cam - the potential to move up is certainly there. And I prefer Jabari's frustration with losses to Jalen's seemingly somewhat indifferent attitude, so I have a little bit more hope for him. Jalen is definitely the more explosive scorer, but I don't know if he will ever become a passable defender.
I’d probably swap Jabari and Tari on that list, but I’m giving Jabari the benefit of the doubt that he’s just on a 2 game slump starting the season, he showed a lot of development this offseason. Jalen is acting like he’s content being the 3rd option on a mediocre team.
I was banned in that campaign. (I say campaign, I mean witch hunt.) Came back, blocked a few SOH's, a few SOB's, behaved myself & there I am.
I don't know, maybe it's because Alpi chose violence yesterday, and his teammate Tari cheers him on for said violence.
In case if you haven't realized, Hitler represents your homophobic, racist and islamophobic stance. Should have stopped quoting me, when i told you to stop ****ing quoting me.
You are relatively new here, so you might not know that you are meant to keep whatever political feuds you have in the D&D forum. This sub-forum is strictly for basketball discussion only.
I agree that Sengun and Sengun do not pair well together. As to your question, when you look at the typical career trajectory of centers in the NBA, very few are finished products at age 21. If they are starters, their production usually improves and reaches peak levels at age 24, 25 or so, and stays at that level until they are in their early 30s (barring injuries), before it starts going down. Here is Jokic as an example: He was very good before already, but he didn't reach his current peak before he turned about 25. Hakeem was amazing from a young age, especially defensively, but he as well only started reaching peak levels from about age 25, 26, and finally won championships at age 32, 33. Another example would be Yao Ming (whose career then unfortunately got cut short), he started reaching peak performance at about age 25: Unless there are significant injuries, you would not see a featured starting center peak at 21 and not get better. That's not because they grow taller or start jumping higher, but because they get trained and gain experience with the NBA game, and they establish themselves and earn more touches. Alpi has already been setting all-time NBA records for centers his age (most triple doubles, most assists) - if he stays healthy, there is a reasonable expectation that his output will increase and that he will probably only start peaking at age 24, 25, like most centers did.
One more example: Domantas Sabonis Barring injuries, Alpi is tracking to become a better player than Sabonis. He could reach Sabonis' current peak production this year already, if he gets the minutes and touches. BUT: Alpi needs to improve his free throw shooting, three-point shooting, and he needs to improve on fouls and turnovers. Improving his stamina and mental focus and just practice, practice, practice will hopefully contribute to him getting better in these areas. P.S.: I feel that he now has the proper coaching, with Udoka and his staff. If he had had Udoka instead of Silas the last two years and if the team hadn't insisted on featuring KPJ and Daishen freaking Nix (and not holding the guards accountable at all, for anything), I think Alpi would be even further along in his development.
This also means that you should not have that profile picture. I am obviously not a moderator here, but when the place was moderated, this kind of stuff would have led to a ban, I think. I would recommend removing that picture and keeping your insults in the D&D, but hey, your call.
Looking at those stats above, I wish Alpi could improve his FT shooting to the levels of Jokic and Yao. It would make a big difference. Hakeem eventually improved his free throw shooting to respectable levels in his best years. I hope Alpi can at least do the same.
