Last year's Nuggets, judging by SRS, were one of the worst teams to win the title in a long time, at a mere +3.04. Here's the list of every title winner since 2000: 2022: GSW, 5.52 2021: Bucks, 5.57 2020: Lakers, 6.28 2019: Raptors. 5.49 2018: Warriors, 5.79 (Rockets sat at 8.21) 2017: Warriors, 11.35 2016: Cavs, 5.45 (Warriors at 10.38 and SAS at 10.28) 2015: Warriors, 10.01 2014: Spurs, 8.00 2013: Heat, 7.03 2012: Heat, 7.72 2011: Mavs, 4.41 2010: Lakers, 4.78 2009: Lakers, 7.11 2008: Celtics, 9.30 2007: Spurs, 8.35 2006: Heat, 3.59 (Benefactor of the Tim Donaghy Special) 2005: Spurs, 7.84 2004: Pistons, 5.04 2003: Spurs, 5.65 2002: Lakers, 7.15 2001: Lakers, 3.74 (The season where Shaq admitted to not even trying until April) 2000: Lakers, 8.41 You have to go all the way back to the 94-95 Rockets to find a team with a lower SRS at 2.32, the lowest seeded team to ever win a title. Denver secured the #1 seed with their rating, which makes them the worst #1 seed ever, and yet they mopped the floor with their competition. The West was just really weak this year, then they got an #8 seed in the finals.
denver also clinched super early and jokic basically didn't play or try for the last 1/4 of the season, if there was a team pushing them i think their regular season would look stronger
Yeah. Jokic didn't win the MVP partly because nobody wants a 3-peat MVP and partly because he just coasted through the last 1/4 of the season. He was clearly much better than Embiid in the playoffs.
He was clearly better in the regular season as well and should have easily won the mvp unanimously, but he gets no respect. It is what it is
That’s the regular argument for many people. As soon as they are shown to be wrong set a new, higher bar.
I had to look srs up to see what it is. I think it is not Denver being worse but teams getting more balanced in strength, maybe just this last year or a as a more general trend. The west had something like 10 teams within a few wins for a long time in the regular season. The playin reinforced this as well. I think upsets will be more common in the playoffs.
i live in izmir and i am from giresun ,nope this time of year giresun's beachs are better than Alaçatı and you must consider Alaçatı has no beaches only some bays for windsurfers and nightlife for trend chasers. arabs in blacksea mosty stays at highlands of Trabzon.
, all his footage in turkey are from clubs at night. so noone cares about beaches. it is sad that JG, Jabari and others are working so hard while our prince is having his 8th vacation nights partying. perhaps Rockets should have signed Harden for these clubber newbies like Jalen, Alperen and most importantly, Tari and his mom. Hedo had his huge upgrade the summer he went to US and didnt bother with any national or night-clubbing issues. Sad for the Harlem Magic Johnson to spend his precious development time for revelopment.
I have a question. Why is there practically no tourism on the Black Sea north of Istanbul? It’s such a puzzle? When I fly I see these beautiful pristine beaches, with nice orman behind them and nothing is built out. The Bulgarian side is densely built-up, the Turkish side is empty? Why is that? With the new Airport being on the North side of Istanbul, people can fly-in from all over the world and have a short transfer to the resorts if they build them.. It’s a puzzle to me why they don’t build there.
for northeastern turkey; there wasn't enough industry for ppl to work in blacksea region ,governments either tought region as sure voters and did not invest( ordu, giresun , Trabzon)or cities were so remote to reach ( rize, artvin, kars) .another reason is region loses its population constantly since early 1900s actually first migration from region was to northeastern usa , you can find black sea ppl neighbourhoods at new jersey, boston and new york. i am not sure exact number but over 5million people at istanbul are originated from black sea region. Tourism just started for 10 years at highlands of Trabzon but they are mostly gulf arabs. europeans tend to go fir sun and sea ,north and middle europe is similar to blacksea region and they don't find that atractive but people who live in places without greenery likes the place. btw most migrated blacksea ppl are openminded( except germanic trabzonians) but remaining ppl are stubborn, short tempered and angry( i blame weather). georgia and bulgaria takes their share for tourists but most of them want to go southwestern turkey and greece. as for ukranians; they are partying with russians at Antalya
I think he is talking about the part from istanbul to bulgaria if I understand it correctly. The forest parts were mostly national parks, protected areas and not open to tourism, though recently changing by the current government. another reason is that region is windy and not very pleasant to swim in. And in terms sea, beach quality Turks favor the southern part of the peninsula looking at Marmara sea because it is calmer and better in general. But still those areas by Marmara sea are mostly individual houses, not resorts because for resort tourism or other summer vacations people would go to anywhere on the mediterranean or the agean seas which have much better beaches and warmer climate.
Sengun having R&R on a boat while his teammates are working out isn’t the greatest look for him right now IMO.
