If Alpi can make that top of the key 3pt shot a staple or a go- to spot , LOOK OUT. That will set up his off the dribble game and his passing. It would be a game changer.

Chris Broussard, yeah the arrogant sauce guy, and Texans legend Ephraim Salaam discussing Jokic on their radio show.

Broussard: "Can you build the league around centers like Jokic?"

Salaam: "Skilled Big men who can create for others are rare to come by. The closest one I can think of is that kid in Houston."

Don't think he was talking about Nix. Sengun's reputation precedes him. He has to take the next step for the association. It's much better with centers.
But the harsh reality is that some won't make the next jump. I believe in him making those strides.

Sengun did this despite having the worst NBA coach in history.

It is another proof that Sengun-Wagner-Giddey were the top 3 players of '21 draft.

NBA has too many ignorant GMs. Shame.

People here hyperventilate about Sengun’s defense meanwhile an archetype you guys drool over, Bam Adebayo is damn near unplayable on offense and killing the Heat out there.

Not really. Giddy has totally different defensive looks on him than someone like Green so you can't compare their inside scoring efficiency one to one.

I hope Sengun can bring it home for the Nuggets!

    Let’s go Nuggets!
    Let’s go Jokic!
    Let’s go Sengun!

Exactly my thoughts while watching the game.

I also wonder what will the 'jokic archetype cannot win in the playoffs' herd say after watching Boston choke with the modern guard game, particularly after Denver annihilates the Heat. I am sure we'll keep hearing the same idiotic takes.

Defensive, switchable, pick and roll/pop center. The prototypical ideal playoff center.

Was damn near unplayable because in the playoffs the other team can switch every pick too and Bam couldn’t score in isolation vs 6’3 midgets. Sengun archetype would give up points on defense but absolutely cook any team that dares to switch their guards onto him, like you are about to see in the finals.

All I know is it's downright hilarious that people are saying Sengun is a liability, he's this and that (all negative things). Can't win with that. Etc etc etc.

And Jokic of all people is about to decimate the Heat and win a unanimous Finals MVP.

Sengun isn’t Jokic bro. Not by a long shot.

    "Archetypes" are B.S.

Kobe and Shaq wins ... "Oh you need a star guard and star center to win in the NBA."
KG, Pierce and Allen wins ... "Oh you need to form a 'Big 3' to win in the NBA."
Kobe and Gasol wins ... "Oh nvm you need a star guard and a star center to win the NBA."
Lebron, Wade and Bosh wins ... "OH NVM you need to form a 'Big 3' to win in the NBA."
Curry + Thompson wins ... "OH NVMNVM you need to build around elite outside shooters to win in the NBA."

After this year it's likely going to be "OHHHHHHH you need to build around a skilled offense-initiating big to win in the NBA."

    Fixed it for ya.

Agreed - not YET. 20 year old Jokic wasn't 28 year old Jokic either.

    You misunderstood.

How often have we heard Jokic is a liability defensively?

Can't defend a pnr to save his life.

Unplayable in the playoffs because of it.

    Yet here we are.

The comment had nothing to do on the offensive side of the ball.

It's so strange how that little titbit of common sense seems to be so lost (or blatantly ignored more likely) on some on Clutchfans.
