I agree that Sengun and Amen are our two best players and should build around them. The problem is that they are both non-shooters. It's extremely difficult to build around two stars who can't shoot. So at least one of them HAS TO develop at least a midrange, preferably a 3, for us to be serious contender.
Agreed, but I believe they both will develop a midrange. And maybe even a 3. IMHO this is the best option we have. Build around them and get shooters
And some idiots here discuss a player whose playoff stats in his first play off experience: 20.9 ppg, 11.9 rpg, 5.3 apg It is hard to find so many imbecile fans in a forum or a franchise. After Playoffs, this is Sengun's team.He is the only untocuhable player.. This team will be built around Sengun.. İncluding Amen- who was average in Warriors series- everyone in this team is on the table.. Capiche...
agreed. One thing to note is that fvv and green cannot drive to the basket in a way to make use of Sengun or amen. And green can’t shoot either. In order to assess the fit between Sengun and amen we need a better backcourt. This backcourt makes the problem even worse.
On below 50 percent true shooting, and he’s getting single coverage. Sengun’s not the guy. He’s just a guy who gets the ball a lot.
And all those fans that decry his free throw shooting... it is on par with lots of HOFers and folks like Dream, Malone, and Webber improved with maturity
At least he is getting a shot off ... and sometimes when FVV and Green dribble the shot clock down to 2 before giving him the ball.
FVV is supposed to be a good shooter. He's been terrible this season, not sure if it's just a down year for him. I checked his year to year shooting and found that he is pretty much as wildly inconsistent as Jalen is. Weird both of our backcourt players are like that. I agree that neither is good at driving and dishing. Jalen is simply not a good decision maker, although he has shown some improvement. Other than a good PnR situation with Sengun, FVV is quite useless when he gets inside. He's just too short and unathletic to be a threat to the basket and can't see well over taller defenders for kick out passes.
I expected jalen to do what he did though, he played to expectations. Sengun was far worse than expectation. A sub 50% TS is horrifying.
Sin He was guarded by Draymond green single coverage is not entirely true, we had Steven Adam and amen Thompson in the paint as well. The paint was definitely not isolated for sengun throughout the series. keep in mind games 1-4 FVV was playing like ass, bari didn’t get much minutes, so it was FVV, green, amen, sengun, Adams. green **** the bed, so the rockets had to turn to sengun for most of the series. he was asked to do too much in my opinion, the thing I really liked is he didn’t shy away from posting up. no excuses though he needs to continue to work on his touch and develop an outside/midrange game and he’ll be a solid player in this league
This fan base will complain about everything... Is Sengun perfect? No. Has he reached his peak? Also no. But can you name 10 better PF/Cs in the league right now? Also no.
before going too hard on the fans, keep in mind Clutchfans founded in 1996 and the franchise didn't win a single championship in all those years since. why are you so angry about them wanting to trade a player they are not happy with? it may end up better for everybody involved.
What does Sengun fans mean? This is such an insulting and stoopid sentence. This team has one all star player, a player who showed great effort, Oh yeah, he is a center averaging nearly 6 apg, if have good players around him, proabably reaching tripple double averaging center, second center in NBA center. What kind of morons you are?
