If Sengun can get stronger during the summer and finish more consistently he will be the franchise player for a decade. The only things I would work on if I were him is hitting that short hook and developing a midrange jumper like Jokic so that bigger/slower defenders can't just sag in the paint. If Sengun had a consistent midrange game it would be near impossible to guard him. He could pop on the short roll and exploit mismatches day and night.
Honestly Jalen has had a consistent trend of roller coaster up and down performances throughout his entire career. He has never had an entire year where he is consistently good without some sort of dip for weeks-months. Why do we expect anything different in the playoffs? Some players either have it or they don't. If Jalen is one of those inconsistent up and down playoff performers then we need to let him go. Inconsistency has never won a championship on this level.
After game 1, achieving inconsistency would be a good final result for Jalen this series because for now, it's looking a whole lot worse for him.
The whole team played poorly. Yes jalen played poorly but on the other hand Sengun had 5 TO’s resulting in 10 pts the other way. Tari shot poorly and Amen wasn’t himself on both ends. Let’s fully represent what happened in that game.
Yeah the 5 TO are not good but Curry hat 4 TO´s too. If you lose the ball in the offense its TO yes but if someone take in difficult situations bad shots its a different way to TO the ball. In the stats they are no TO´s but in the end you lose the ball without scoring. I mean its important to let the player who is in the best position to shot. Jalen is not interested in moving the ball until the best positioned player founded. Alpi trys to pass to the best positioned player and then you can TO the ball sometimes and sometimes too much. Thats the difference! I like player which dont play selfish and Jalen is most time a selfish player. If i dont hit my shots then i move the ball and try something different and not run into Draymond, position for position! Thats what Jalen do always and thats not ok in my opinion! Give other guys the ball and try to cut and do some easy points. For that you must run without the ball! I am really mad about how he plays!
And on the other hand Sengun had 3 steals that resulted in 6 points the other way =/ Or maybe just maybe Butler has quick hands I hope everyone can get to the level of Alpi. Not my words. Ime's
The point isn’t about comparing players which fans love to do on this site. The point is most Rockets players played poorly game 1. I thought Amen had an off game. Timid. Awareness wasn’t there on both ends especially on defense
The whole team played poorly. I do think it was playoff jitters. What was surprising is that Sengun played aggressively and was not overcome with the moment. Coming in you would have expected that GSW would have baited him into becoming exasperated, but he kept his cool. I would have thought that Amen would be the level headed one, but missing those early FT’s and an early dunk, seemed to affect his confidence. I think he will have a huge 2nd game. There is no excuse on how FVV played and Dillon played meekly on offense as well. They are supposed to be the seasoned vets that could handle the moment, so it was so surprising that FVV played so miserably. The coach matchup is the biggest factor and Ime is getting his ass handed to him.
Dude, Jalen and as it seems you are out of iq... Sengun is official allstar and Jalen? A player who plays as starter, but in reality at best #6th or #7th player from bench player in this league. This is Sengun's team and it will be Sengun's team.. Yes, Jalen and Sengun are from same draft. But at this moment, they are in different tiers in NBA.. Sengun is all star, Jalen is just like other players who drafted high, but did not achieve expectations... Jalen is not a winner, at least for now. He is weak and Sengun deserves better Robin than Jalen.. If Jalen carries on this embarrassing performance, he should be traded. Amen, Sengun, Booker/KD, Jabari will be lethal group
Yet you always seem to be focused on one particular player. You are in all the negative threads about Jalen saying things like we need to trade away fans and are now here you are in the Alpi thread pointing out negatives about him because your guy played so bad. That seems hypocritical to me.
Also if you go back and actually “watch the games” as Stephen likes to always accuse others of not doing you would know that Alpis 5 turnovers did not lead directly to 10 warriors points. Just made up to help protect Jalen from criticism. “Jalen wasn’t bad….everyone was bad…even the guy you think was good….here's a made up number to try to make you think he was worse than he really was….”
lol this is the dumbest take of all time. They are literally leaving curry on an island with Jalen and he can't even get off a shot... what are you even watching? Not like they are scheming or doubling Jalen. They don't even care about him cuz he's not a threat
The best thing about Alpi is he can be incredibly important and put in great games even without being the focus of the offense and needing the ball every possession.
Pulled a Draymond on Draymond. Sengun had his arm purposely wrapped around Green after a made basket. In trying to shake him off, Draymond gets the T
