"SORF doing the happy dance" Congratulations Alpi. This is a well deserved honor. Go Alpi and go Rockets. This is the beginning of greater things to come.
It's good to know people never doubted Alpi. I'll avoid Twitter accounts and forum posts, and just post a couple front page articles to show the great belief. https://www.clutchfans.net/12685/2023-houston-rockets-offseason/ https://www.clutchfans.net/12583/alperen-sengun-rockets-off-the-bench/ https://www.clutchfans.net/12407/houston-rockets-prospects-power-rankings-volume-1/ https://www.clutchfans.net/12163/houston-rockets-draft-trade-scenarios/
Dear god these accounts should be perma banned. Some guy on Twitter raged on me when I said I predicted Sengun would be a great defender. He kept saying no one could've predicted that and I so no I did and I showed him receipts he then blocked me lol These guys with these huge accounts for Houston Sports have no idea what they are talking about. From KPJ Stans to the Sengun haters they all look really stupid right now. Ofcourse they wont admit it and those posts are probably deleted lol
Okay I love me some Sengun. He has been my favorite player since halfway through last season. On a team 2nd in the Conference we deserve an All-Star spot. But I'm comparing him to Domantas Sabonis...and, well, this might send the Kings into a higher seed without need for the play-in. This is easily his best season as a professional. It actually makes me kinda mad Harden made it over him.
The first of MANY all-star selections for Alperen MF Sengun! At the age of 22, to put up essentially 20/10/5 on a top-5 team record wise in the NBA is very rare..and I don't even need to Google anything to prove it, I KNOW it's a fact. When James Harden left, we entered a dark age the likes of which we've never had before as Rockets fans--even the pre-Harden years were scrappy, competitive teams, not absolutely bottom-of-the-barrel tanking squads. But the first sliver of sunlight to guide us from that darkness was our 2021 draft...and having Alpi as an all-star really solidifies that. I have a feeling that a few other young guys on our team will be joining him on the all-star team soon. Now, we need the big fella to get healthy and back on the court so he can help us destroy the competition even more!
Damn. Yeah, I just looked it up when you said it. 'Tis true. I didn't think he was All-Star worthy in '07. I guess maybe he was. He only averaged 18 and 7.
how can a fan write a congratory article while dissing player from the team he is fan of,boggles mind. i ve read a much better article at r/nbatalk why sengun should be an allstar over sabonis.
