https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...w-rookies-16947665.php?cmpid=gsa-chron-result Friendly, social and humble. I like this guy more & more every day. "Sengun also has a contact through an agent for Nuggets star Nikola Jokic, and will sometimes text him to ask questions about his game. “I’m talking generally (to) the rookies in the game, you know, in the season,” Sengun said. “I’m talking to Evan (Mobley), Cade, Franz. I know everybody, you know? I follow every rookie because I’m rookie and I know every rookie.” Sengun’s English has advanced to the point where he can conduct interviews hardly needing a translator, but he said he isn’t yet fluent enough to compare experiences at length with other rookies. “Next year, probably, I will talk,” he said."
they’ve been doing that a lot to Jae’Sean too we need more respect . To get more respect we need more wins .To get more wins we need more respect . It’s a tough climb edit. Oh and one more thing ... those data displays are cool and all , but the whole 26 mpg sengun, compared to mobley at 34 , and the average center at 26 ... what a statistical pile of **** . Not to mention the number of other factors that will and could differ . sengun looks good for a rookie . Mobley does too. A lot will happen over next couple of years . Neither one of these guys is near who they can be
this is a good article. I had no idea Cade was so inefficient. I was waiting to see Mobley's Comp as Garnett and Duncan.. Considering how bad every one's comps are Jalen's are pretty good considering... my bad, I meant pretty damn good. Top comps: (1) Bradley Beal, (2) J.R. Smith, (3) Jamal Murray, (4) Devin Booker, (5) Tyler Herro What it means: Wow! For a rookie with such a poor start as Green’s—midway through the season, multiple advanced metrics rated him as the least valuable player in the league—these comps are extraordinary. This is basically a dream list for a shooting guard. Green’s season-long numbers look solid now because in his past 20 games, he’s scored more, shot better, and improved his passing:
• Unorthodox no. 16 pick Alperen Sengun has only one close comp: Lamar Odom. No other rookie this century has a statistical profile that remotely resembles Sengun’s. Relative to other rookies this century, Sengun rates above average in points, rebounds, assists, usage rate, and true shooting percentage, and he boasts one of the highest free throw rates. He and Green could be really fun together once Houston is ready to compete again.
Didn't think about Odom as a Sengun comp, but offensively it makes some sense. Both versatile players that can pass it while also being okay at the long ball and also good inside.
this wasnt a compliment....juts a comentary on proper role of sengun.....if he were the lead guard, this team would be 10 times better... put steph curry on this team and make him postup non stop instead of shooting 3s this team would still be historically bad... maybe even worse than that...proper roles are important... give this suns team to silas, and suns would be tanking and 'lacking talent' in no time....
His play would change too if he where in a better fitting offense. He is playing like it’s street ball more than 50% of the time.
he is so natural at isolation game, beating his man and attacking the rim...something KPJ is severely lacking...passing i wont even mention because Sengod is mad genius of passes...sengun is also better FT shooter than KPJ...and he is naturally, due to all above mentioned being true, much better at getting fouled.... he needs to be the PG...
man i would have loved it so much if the suns get him...i really believe he would be more than a just plus defender in their system after getting proper defensive training and discipline...and playing alongside cp3...wow! perhaps alpi can become cp3s heir....his game reminds me so much of cp3 in being so cerebral and cunning...
so natural and effortless and every move just makes perfect sense while KPJ is just fancy dribbling around, the moves he learned by heart but lead to nothing...
