I was ready to come in here and write a long post but it can basically be summed up by these tweets right here. It's so disappointing to see the way he's being used when he starts, or when he shares the court with KPJ/Wood/Jalen. If you're going to play him like that you might as well not even play him. Having Sengun relegated to a spot up 3 point shooter is so stupid. I get that he's a rookie and all that, I'm not arguing that he gets every possession, but he literally didn't get a post up the entire first half. Come on man.
it seems this is nbas or rockets current reality, juggling egos etc or not really being dedicated to detail just rolling the ball and let players figure it out...or catering to players that are to be traded or that signed with so and so agency, which the org owes to or have a gentleman agreemetn etc would love to know which agency alpi signed with to represent him..also would love to know who is silas' agent....
Agreed Sengun has the best offensive IQ on the team, just need the fitness and speed of the game adjustment to catch up. Then I'd be happy to play through him too.
Lol, I only know of two. Jopatmc is the main one where he posts 75% politics 25% basketball and then Naismith2silver is his fake insider where he posts about all his "sources".
It’s not my favorite thing but I get what Silas is doing with Green and Sengun. Everyone talks about winning culture and fundamentals but this is what that looks like. A well rounded player and teammate can catch and shoot. I bet they know Alpi can work the post but want to shore up his game by ensuring he can switch roles just as easily. With 30 games to go though, I’d rather get the rookies all doing what they’re best at. I still can’t understand why they’re not playing Wood as stretch 4. He’s not a true long term franchise piece, needs to help our development process. So narrow minded to say that we have to play him this way for trade value. Showing he can be a stretch 4 expands his trade market, and his game overall. If he can’t be anything but a 5 who can’t guard bigs, then he certainly doesn’t deserve much of a raise. Want to test Sengun’s capacity for carrying more offense. REALLY need him to chill on the fouls. Alpi’s sophomore season is going to be insanely good, I predict similar or better than Doncic’s rookie season which is an excellent standard. Hopefully wiser/quicker, more athletic, 3pt improvement. Need to get him into Domantas-like shape. Still can’t believe Presti gifted us another star. Alpi would fit like a glove on that team and would have accelerated their rebuild by 6-12 months.
then they should sent him to g league to practice and take 10 s3 s a game... its hard to learn to shoot 3s by taking just a few of them every game
