No problem, you can compare but Alpi is much much better player. Mobley is good, Alpi is better. I belive drafting JGreen over Mobley was a masterclass move not only because JGreen is better but also there would be no plce in Rox in case of Mobley draft. Well done Stone.
Who cares. If Rox drafted him he had to come like a poodle. And why draft him over JGreen, Scottie Barnes, Josh Giddey and most importantly over Franz Wagner&Alperen Sengun?
I suggest you look up how Steve Francis got to the Rockets the first time around. Also, I was adding on to the reasons of not drafting him so not sure what your point is?
If Mobley played next to CWood,DTheis and Tate instead of JAllen,LMarkkanen and KLove, he would be in G-League now.
Cunningham,JGreen,JoshGiddey,SBarnes,FWagner and ASengun are better player than him. Why he would be drafted by Houston?
Don't lol man, be serious. What is the point if I suggested Garuba should be #3 pick. Garuba was late first rounder and Mobley should be #8 to #12. So you are telling me Rox did not draft pick#8 level player at #2 because he did not want to play here. Tell him f... off. Why Rox would draft him over talented guys? Don't forget, Rox tried to trade Alpi starting from #5 or #6. For Rox org Alpi is not #16, more likely #6.
Let me spell it out for you. First, I did not want to draft Mobley over Green, so I don't actually give a damn about the question of why would we should or shouldn't have drafted him over other players. It's a dumb question, especially given that Green was still available. Secondly, you are arguing in hindsight. If we had the 3rd pick and both Green and Cade were gone, we absolutely would have tried to draft Mobley at the time provided he was willing to actually play for us (and maybe even if he wasn't) over any of the other players you listed. Whether whichever player ended up being better or more productive in hindsight is a moot point given that the draft takes place BEFORE the rookie season.
