They’re not gonna bring the number 3 pick who’s elite 3&D off the bench. Sengun would come off the bench most likely, but then who’s gonna bang with the big bodies? Idk how they’d do it, but Jabari would start

If all we got was a good 3 and D player with the number 3 pick that is a disgrace.......

Top 5 picks need to be STAR players or we blew it.

I believe he is a Star, we seen on the defense side of the ball what he did against the Bucks, and we need guards who will feed him the ball. I always believe you have 3 Stars on your team to win a championship. I believe Jalen is #1 or #2 Star on a championship team and Jabari is the #3 Star. Jabari will be on the all defensive team in the future, and might have a chance to be DPOY as well. Once we gain weight, we will post up more and feel more confident inside the paint under the basket.

Bari just locked up prime impossible human Giannis at 11 yrs of age and people out here wondering about Bari's star potential. Bari currently not even featured in our trash ass offense; only relegated to spot up shooting because Silas is a dumb ass.

Someone who flip flops alot has post something along the line

defense is just as important as offense.
He also post Defense wins championships.

Always preaches patience when we are forced to watch kpj do the stupidest sht while hes in his fourth year in the league, but when it came to green (a wasted pick a few games into his rookie season) or Smith (3 and d = disgrace and we blew it).

Not everybody can lock up prime giannis much less a rookie.

This is what always happens with tanking teams...the talent is never a problem, errybody is talented in nba otherwise they wouldn't have been here in the first place, its always the culture that is the problem and never the talent...

And it's a simple law of the nature in the basketball jungle...

    Its the

3 Step Self-Perpetuating Cycle of Being a Trash Team in the NBA

    presented to you by @hakeem94

    1. bad bbiq produces bad teams

    2. bad teams tank because they (only) think that they lack talent...

    3. the newly acquired talent gets ruined or perhaps inappropriately selected in the first place because they don't know who to pick

and voila! we are back at the steps 1 and 2

    THIS IS WHY TANKING DOESN'T WORK...its a self-perpetuating cycle!

if you started to tank this only means you have a low bbiq and you aint getting out of it by means of more talent, because the talent is never your problem in the first place, it was always bbiq ie leadership and management...

When low iq teams get talent tru tank and draft they ruin it because of their bad bb iq, bad iq produces bad iq, ie they cant develop, coach or install confidence...

So the talent they got becomes discarded and proclaimed as not talented enough...(ie "he was a bust"...as if people have the bust genes in them LOL)

And thus the team stays bad proceeding to tank again because "they lack talent"...

In the meantime other teams produce dynasties with picks no 7, 11, and 35 , MVPs and Championships with picks 16 and 40 something...

Folks: Is this a strawman argument, or is it not covert enough?

One person uses the word “elite”, and the reply replaces it with “good”, because merely “good” is easier to argue, whereas “elite” at 6’11, not so much.

I’m going to vote No, it’s not a strawman,

because DD is often ignoring the other person’s comment altogether, to make his own, whereby both Elite and Good can exist in the same discussion, thereby providing wiggle-room later.

    :)

I agree! I’m meant like like the skills and things he brings to the table right now. The hope is that he becomes a star, you’re right

Haha, well elite 3&D at his size could actually be a star, especially bc he can rebound and score in the mid post

SOF, just doing what they do. If we get Wemby, Sengun is coming off the bench. I’m sry, that’s just the truth. It’ll be KPJ, JG, Tari/KJ, Bari, Wemby

typical anti tanking low iq post.

most tank fails b/c it is led by an incompetent front office. This tank is gonna end up in failure if we continue letting silas coach.

Talents are not all equal, a player who works hard and gives maximum effort does not trump a player with god given physical attributes that also works hard.

Yes u can find someone in the late round if u are lucky ala joker, but that's rare.

U will never find a lebron james or a james harden or most potential hall of famer if you don't tank or at least b near the bottom for a few season.

Last i checked drafting 7 Stephen Curry was in the lottery

The warriors previous season record was 29-53.
    Tanking doesn't work pfffft.

all the drafted players are talented...its mostly a matter of luck and the work you put in who you finaly get..

and why the worship of the stars?

its an old concept...irrelevant...it mainly serves just to get some players max money and ruin the team

minnesota has plenty of stars and wont ever do anything of significance...

if we get great 3 and d player in jabari its a win...especialy because you have got sengun a perrenial allstar and MVP contender at 16
