Smith was the main defender of Giannis, but the quick and timely help defense Sengun provided throughout the game was vital to containing him. You can see how fast and often he comes in to help seal off Giannis in the video below. And watch in the final seconds how Giannis drives from the half court and the way Fernando matches his speed and brilliantly trails him all the way to the hoop. You're right in that Smith shined in this game, and I get your criticism of some of these posters who are obsessed with Sengun and his stats. But at the same time, I just wanted to point out how it was still a team defensive effort, and a pretty great one at that.
