Last night we witnessed Kerr' intelligence. Like any sane person he realized that Alpi is the key of any Rockets' win. If Alpi does not play good Rockets can't win whether others scores 30+ or not. So he sacrificied Looney to stop Sengun when other Warriors scored. Looney was as usual, 7 rpg, only 4 points (6.2 avg) and 5 assists (3.2 avg). The only difference was fouling. He fouled 2.5 per game-previous 4 games- but 6 last night. He played 5 more minutes than average, Kerr did not mind him to be fouled out and it worked. That is the coach difference. Last night Cavs coach played Cedi Osman 37 minutes from the bench , more than any starters and Cedi finished the game +39. It will never happened for Sengun and will never happen for Tari. They are the children of lesser God. I am sure that Silas thought last night when he was watching Looney as: "he is the center I die for" instead of realizing Kerr' good tactics.
okay let me get this straight, Sengun who usually averages 15 points a game, facing Looney who sucks and is undisiplined. only scored 4 points, passed out of most 1 v 1 opportunities without double teams, only ended up with 3 assists and 3 turnovers. so you are saying Sengun basically sucks, especially against someone like Looney who according to you is bad and Sengun can score on him at will
No, I am saying your reading comprehension sucks. Almost as much as your player evaluation skills. You are trying very hard, but not being very successful.
That's what I thought. you just can't handle the fact that you are blind when it comes to Sengun, and when called out on it, cannot back up any of your nonsensical comments. At least have the balls to admit that Sengun had a terrible game last night, and he was very timid on offense on Looney and couldn't score on him
Sengun held back last night. But not because he was timid. He is not the timid type, and certainly not because of a mediocre player like Looney.
Just for the sake of truth. Looney is not taller than Alp, and really not much more athletic. He’s disciplined
Sengun is more likely to go the way of “can’t play Kanter” than be a Jokic lite the way things are going right now.
How many post touches got last night? Still have not watched the game, but saw just 3 shots attempted. Usually, the team shows no intentions of getting him in the post, just PnR and handoff situations with very sporadic paint touches. The point is that, tactically, Silas has not implemented into the offense the option of Sengun playing there... I mean, is not part of the offensive schemes (as it should, being a special player in that situations), so when it happens, is more an anomaly than the product of a rule. Sad.
Sengun needs to be part of the offense, Porter does not pass the ball to him and Silas does not like him. We need to fire Silas and get a veteran point guard
If Sengun doesn't develop and outside shot, he will be limited, at least with this young squad. When teams starts to scout his post moves, they will stop going for his fakes, and maybe trap him. His teammates, with the exception of KJM, don't know when and where to cut or position themselves to get a pass from him when he is trapped.
So, you think Sengun will always play with inexperienced/low BBIQ players in his career? No way. If others don't adapt or Silas continue to coach Sengun might be a deviant in this team and consequently a clever GM will poach him from Houston. Sengun performing sub par due to that bad fall. First half was 12 points, end of the game 14. You could see he was suffering again during following games. Another 65 games, no more torture for Alpi. Either Silas or himself will go. Hope Silas goes.
"If blabla then blabla"..." Yet another moronic conclusion I've read here. How do you still have zero Darwin awards with that kind of brain? No man, it's a Fk U mentality. He's not giving up on himself. He's just deciding this organization is beyond help, everyone is only interested in getting his, and the idiot coach still has no clue. Alpi will be better off somewhere else.
Chill. Where did I say that? But he is playing on a young team. Waiting for the kids to mature and smart up may take a while. It's just the reality. What I'm saying is, without a punishing outside shot, he will need a system and personnel geared for him to maximize his skills. But if he can shoot, he will force the team and coaches to make him the focus of the offense.
if miss americas boyfriend punches her in the head and shes got a blue eye now, is she still the most beautiful girl or not?
