lol people here are thoroughly lacking in taking context or circumstances into account this is why they constantly surprised when this or that player brakes tru or win the championship or fails to do so in spectacular fashion like when miamis undraftes and second rounders have beaten 2 3pt shooting superstars, former top picks, in harden and embiied i checked the first season stats now and ALPI PLAYED ONLY 6(six) 30+ minutes games lolololololol that makes it ONLY EIGHT(8) REAL NBA GAMES FOR HIS NBA CAREER he is still in his rookie season now and still playing with silas on his back instead being given keys or push in the back.... @LeDakota @Ankara1923 @DreamShook @J.R. @aaquaa
Green is our best player in the backcourt and has by far the highest potential. Sengun is our best front court player and 2nd best player overall. His potential IMO is hampered by a complete lack of impressive physical attributes so it will be interesting to see how far skill and finesse takes him in his career.
Rockets found their 4+3 core. 4: JGreen,Alpi,Jabari,Tari 3.KJM+Garuba+KPJ The next step is to sign a good coach and adapt 23' draft's 2 picks to the team. 9 man core. Put Nix,Tate and Bruno to the bracket, a very good 12 men strong squad. Alpi won't score as much as JGreen and won't rebound as much as jabari but still will be the most important player of the team. If Alpi does not play good, Rox can't win whether JGreen scores 35 or not. Tari is coming very strong and Alpi-Jabari-Tari frontcourt can handle any team, including Twolves, Jazz,Cavs. How KPJ will handle his demotion to be back-up is unclear.I don't think he has mental power of Sengun but I hope he adapts. We need him-but not as PG. All projections based on Silas' contract will be terminated at the end of the season. If not, welcome to the world of Sacramento Rockets.
I like how u keep ignoring the simple fact that last year Sengun admitted himself that "it's hard to get used to the nba right away" Stamina issue was a thing, foul prone = debatable. U can give silas the benefit of doubt for easing him in, plus there was C. Wood taking up sengun's mins. This year, it's malpractice that Silas is denying Sengun starter mins.
Sophomore leading scorers: Jalen Green - 21.8 Cade Cunningham - 19.9 Franz Wagner - 18.3 Alperen Sengun - 16.1 (just 26 minutes per game) Evan Mobley - 14.8 Josh Giddey - 14.7 Bones Hyland - 14.0 Scottie Barnes - 13.8 Jalen Suggs - 13.0 Ayo Dosunmu - 11.7
Dunking over Sertac Sanli of Eurochamps Efes (currently plays for Barcelona, 2.14 m is YMCA ball!!! Your inner toxicity will drive you to early grave.
The boy was playing for an experimental club-currently disbanded and was dunking over towering figures/eurochamps and YMCA ball? It is similar to high school boy dunking over Gobert/A,Davis. This hate is not normal.
Definitely looks like he has grown a bit since then. His ability to contort himself is quite interesting. Not a stiff.
I don't disagree with you. Green has an edge and is still improving. Sengun has been improving more IMO so far this season. Maybe it's just that they are giving him more touches now. So the gap has narrowed. In terms of potential, Green obviously is more physically gifted. But athletic scoring guards are not that difficult to find. So unless he gets to a really elite level as a scorer (like Kobe, Curry, etc.) we can't say that he is a rare talent to build around. Sengun on the other hand is a rare kind of talent you don't see very often. If he reaches his ceiling, he can be a guy you want to build your offense around.
Mentally preparing myself for the Rockets to not give the ball to Alperen, and for Silas to then use that to justify benching him for Kelvin Cato, and then for half the posters to come in here and say “I told you so!”
How many guards have you seen as explosively athletic as Green? That combination of speed and ups is unicorn tier.
