As long as people keep posting PER I will be posting that it is a made up statistic that is fundamentally flawed, and that is also why it is RARELY used anymore...it has been debunked...basically. And, that take has NOTHING to do with Sengun - who none of us need made up PERs to see is playing well. DD
lol every statistics is 'made up and fundamentally flawed' btw how about FTr? is that a fundamentaly flawed statistics?
Anyone with a modicum of context and intelligence can take PER for what it is. You are pointing out something that everyone is already aware. We ALL get it! That’s the point! Lord have mercy. Like playing cards with my Sister’s kids.
Did you ever see the best player get benched in the final three minutes? Either Sengun is not the best player (on our team), or Silas is an idiot. I think the later, but Stone and Tilman don't think that way. The organization treated Silas like the Indian Tribes that they need to protect him because he didn't get the chance to coach Harden. They forgot Silas will still get the check even they get his ass out, or the owner is just too cheap to hire a new coach.
Yes, you're right. Some nights are Sengun, some nights are Green, some nights are someone else. They need to be more consistent.
I'm pretty sure Sengun was benched tonight because the Rockets wanted a switchable line-up as VanVleet was killing us out of screens and PNRs. Whether that was the right move or not is debatable but at least this time I can see some rationale behind it.
we were down 7, and closed the game down 7. Everytime Silas bench him on clutch times, and it never works. But he does the same thing again. “insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different results”
Not saying it was the right move and You won't catch me defending Silas's decisions as I scratch my head many times regarding some of his moves. I'm just guessing that this may be why he did it tonight. Could be wrong though... maybe it was done in an effort to continue operation "Panzer"
