Bc they’re gonna put more switchable defenders on the floor. It’s gonna be a reality, we all gotta accept it. KPJ, Jalen, EG, Tate, and Jabari will close a lot of games
Would imagine by mid season the line up will be KPJ, Green, Tari, Jabari and Sengun. With two long fowards who are switchable and most importantly willing help defenders, Sengun's weaknesses should not be as much of an issue. Sure they'll be nights when he's overmatched by Giannis or Embid, but there are not too many bigs like that. He will not be exposed nearly as much this year. With the addition of Tari and Jabari, as well as Hollins and more emphasis on D from the coaching overall, they will look better. Will still be a fight with an avg age of 20, but the change is coming.
Like how spoke about the other day… you even admitted that it’s most likely going to happen. I just know the rockets and how they are lol. I can’t imagine Tate or EG not closing a game, we know how much Silas trust them. It’s either Jabari or Sengun
Tate is gonna be on the floor, same with EG if he’s still here. If Tate’s 3ball gets up to like 35%, he’s gonna finish every game
Correct, but hopefully they come to their senses and realize Sengun is the future. The young guys needs to take their lumps. Green, Bari and Sengun need to be closing. Also, Ego might be gone.
That’s the hope! It’s going to be interesting bc Sengun isn’t a lock as part of the future. If we land the number one pick next year, Sengun’s future here is going to be in serious doubt. I’m just trying be honest about things that could happen. I watch his highlights all the time bc I miss watching him play, so it’s not something that I want to happen.
That’s where we will disagree, Sengun has higher upside than Jabari. He absolutely should be part of the future.
I’m not disagreeing with that. I think Jabari is a better and easier fit bc of his defense and shooting ability. Sengun should be part of the future, but there’s a chance he’s not. You know basketball and how organizations do.
Makes sense. Rather have Tate than a 6'8 defensive minded, athletic foward that already hits 35%. Sounds about right.
Where you’re missing the point is that this isn’t what I’m saying I want.. I saying what’s going to happen! Silas love Tate and value what he brings to this team. You guys know this lol
Guess I did. My bad. I just think, like I said in the post, by mid season Tari will probably be in the starting lineup and definitely closing situations. He is better on both sides of the ball and he's 6'8 with a 7'2 wingspan. I think his play will outweigh Silas's love for Tate. Unless Silas and or Stone are the true tank commanders, orchestrating another top pick.
What was his final stats line? I keep seeing highlights posted on the twitterverse but no one tweets the boxscore edit
