Silas did not understand how to use Sengun, it's the only thing that makes any sense for the criminally low usage.
i have read a tweet claiming he didnt know what he got so he didnt have time to prepare a system suited to alpis game where he could be best utilized lolololll
This is why the Rockets should not make any major moves outside of the draft and trading Wall and/or Gordon, until they fire Silas! They do not know what they have until they have a good coach. I guarantee you MDA could've won 30 -35 games last yr with the same roster.
MDA was known to never play rookies. We woulda seen even less of Green and Sengun and lost out on a top 5 pick. Stupid..
this is a joke but youre right, if silas played sengun more and played him right sengun would still be playing, and getting valueble playoffs experience, so yeah silas deserves to be scorched still, he and/or whoevers orders hes was following... sengun played just cca 15ish real games this year...5 minutes or 12 minutes nights dont count.... WHAT A MORONS if he had draymond green hed try to make him into a 3 pt shooter and would make him chuck 10 3s a game as a spacer in his 5 out trash... lolololol TAKE THAT FOR DATA PATHETIC LOSERS
I believe this is correct. Would love to bring MDA back after we are through tanking. 2023 would probably be too soon, but 2024 might work great. That being said, I would want to bring in a defensive savant to the coaching staff as assistant head coach.
if mda had draymond green hed be the worst player in the league and would be totally innefective 3pt worshipping is dumb
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/sengual01/gamelog/2022 72 games 0-9 mins: 2 games (12/31 and 11/21) 10-19 mins: 32 games. 20-29 mins: 32 games 30-39 mins: 6 games Keep saying take that for data when data doesn't support your nonsense. Silas may utilized sengun improperly but he ain't winning it over Barnes or Mobley. For some reason winning is a criteria for some folks this rookie of the year award
I really love Sengun. I will be interested to see how his body gets after a full off season of NBA training, I bet he becomes a better athlete as well.
Guess that's why Clint never developed under MDA amirite? Or that both Dekker and Trez were in regular rotation their rookie season. NVM that D'Antoni was known to rely on young players when he was HC for both Suns and Knicks.
uh Clint capela literally played in 12 games his rookie season and averaged a whole 7.5 minutes a game. pretty sure he wasn't used at all by Dantoni. He was thrown into the lineup later out of necessity when Dwight was hurt/traded.. Sam Dekker was injured his rookie year and played in 3 games.. Trez played in 39 games and averaged 9 minutes... I would say he broke out under doc rivers. Dantoni doesn't play rookies. Even if he does when we get to the playoffs they won't sniff the court and our starters get run into the ground at 45 minutes a game..
McHale was the one who did not play Capela his rook season, only played 12 games, started 0, averaged 2 PPG. Dwight injury you're referencing happened under McHale too. Dwight not re-signed, never played for D'Antoni with Rockets. Capela's stamina and play style was developed in D'Antoni's first off season and became a true starter in regular season. https://clutchpoints.com/report-dwight-howard-assumed-leaving-rockets-mike-dantoni-hired-coach/ Know your history. D'Antoni was a 2× NBA COY for 2 different teams, he must have done a couple of things right.
All I said was Dantoni wouldn't play rookies and you came at me with Capela. Doesn't matter who the coach was. The three guys you named barely played as rookies. Which proves my point. Plus everytime we got to the playoffs the board was upset with the minutes our starters were playing cuz Dantoni had the shortest rotations.
Sam Dekker averaged 18.4 minutes a game playing for MDA in 77 games (he broke his hand & was basically useless for the playoffs, if I remember right. He did average 18.8 in Cleveland but he only played in 9 games. I'm not going to suggest that MDA was perfect, but implying that Silas is the better coach at this point is ridiculous. 2015-16 21 HOU NBA PF 2.0 2016-17 22 HOU NBA PF 18.4 2017-18 23 LAC NBA PF 12.1 2018-19 24 CLE NBA PF 18.8 2018-19 24 WAS NBA PF 16.3 2021-22 27 TOR NBA PF 1
