That big bolded part is something DD just doesn't understand.

Surprising for a know it all as well.

It's why he's infatuated with KPJ.

He will be a complete player. He will be a C.

He is going to be scary as hell to play against on both ends when we get the requisite forwards. Mark it down.

If he can add that Dirk fadeaway to his already decent ball handling and passing...he would be unstoppable.

He's done it a couple of times, just that his shooting past the paint (for now) is abysmal.

I'd settle for getting him teammates that can get him the ball in the post.

that’s good , another big that can finish too.

Sengun does need to get his shot better to achieve his max potential. His passing and knowledge is so good , there is more space on the perimeter... if you can shoot . With his size he can quickly turn perimeter into posting up a smaller player .

People who say that were probably those that only tune into games against teams with star players. I remember someone complaining about how Kyrie and Trae scored with ease against Sengun. Name me a big man who could possibly guard Trae or Kyrie. Only one I can think of is Giannis and even then he would have trouble. Not saying Sengun is an elite defender, but we don't do him any good when we keep switching him onto guards. I think Sengun can be a plus defender. He defends well (based on eye test) in the paint.

    year 3

next year I think he will still be going through growing pains . His body has to mature and he has to be built up to be an nba starter . Assuming he is healthy I think year 3 is when we can finally see how good he can be defensively and the game will have slowed down for him on offense too .

But , he will still be young . Jokic is 27 , sengun prolly won’t be that professional of a player / athlete until he’s like 23-24 .. so maybe 4 years .

when’s the last time nba has had top 5 player under 24/25 .. it’s rather than one thinks .

If you expand to top 10 maybe you can get 1 youngster a year breaking in .

I’ll answer your question with another question ... in which year does green become top 5-10 nba player (if you believe that’s an outcome possible for him) ?

That's what separate the Jokics and Embiids from the rest--elite at making 2P shots and respectable at 3P shots. Jokic's passing is so deadly because he can shoot. If you are guarding him, you have to commit. You can't cheat off and play the passing lane.

Sengun will have to be able to consistently knock down midrange, if not 3s, to be a special player.

Sengun is a more talented playmaker than Embiid. Joel is a much much much better shooter and overall offensive player though. Jokic isn't as flashy a passer and I'd say Sengun has better passing instincts than Jokic but Jokic makes the smart passes.

I'm still not sure if Sengun is going to be an All Star or a slightly smaller but better Nurkic. I still go back to KPJ just holding this team back. He needs to come off the bench and run the team in stints. I want to see Sengun run the offense through him more instead of watching KPJ dribble the air out of the ball into a bone headed decision.

I hear you, but he needs to keep on improving his 3 ball catch and shooting as well . Fortunately, he's starting to show improvement. This will make him a more confident scorer.

hey columbus everyone would become a better player and more confident scorer if he keeps improving his 3 ball....

yanis DOMINATED THE NBA 3 YEARS IN A ROW and won championship without being good 3pt shooter
    TAKE THAT FOR DATA

whats the obsession with 3 pt shot ? its just a transient fade....

not everyone should be taught every bb skill and noone can be good at everything

sengun can dominate nba as is if he is just given the ball in the right spots...ie put in position to succeed

congratulations on being fooled by silas and 3 pt worshippers!
