He gets ticky tack fouls because he reaches....he is not disciplined at all on Defense.

I am surprised by the comfortable and natural turnaround jumper after breaking angles. That looked really good.

learn a lesson from jalen green , play 33 minutes a game from the start of the season no matter how bad you look, the worst player in the league? no problem...

alperen didnt play more than 10 real games this year...jalen green played 70 games

cant count 5 minutes, 12 minutes games as real games
cant count 15 minutes games where he played in 5 spurts of 3 minutes at the end of quarters...NO RHYTHM

another lesson from jalen green, play to your strengths...if jalen green was mainly posting up guys and shooting 3s only occasionally, he wouldn't be looking good....he would still be the worst player in the league...

    TAKE THAT FOR DATA

now imagine if he spent 30 games in g league shooting 20 of them a night...it would be a a time well spent... instead he was a benchwarmer for danuel house, theis, nwaba, wood and other scrubs playing 12 minutes a game...

very smooth indeed, btw if it were luka doncic he would have made another pivot step towards basket and layed it up off the glass...hes incredibly patient and methodical...the game has slow down for him 100%

This is true, but he has consistently improved in that area, so the not disciplined comment is outdated.

There were at least 3 plays where Sengun was on Durant forced 2 bad shots and another were he had to give up the ball.
These posters clowning because he got 'shook' by Mr. Flat earth are the same people on the Suns bench pointing and laughing at Yao when he got crossed over by Starburry.

he had trouble controlling the level of his hustle. It is like shot selection, his hustle selection was bad, or non existent. He is quite better lately though. What made it worse, he was called a ridiculous number of bs fouls by the refs. that has decreased too. I think that is because he is in better shape and has a more nba body now. His body movements are unusual and that combined with an out of shape body was triggering the refs to call these those fouls too easily.

Ngl, I'm getting sick of sengun's game. His post-game is getting boring and predictable, and getting less effective against teams. His defence is just atrocious. One thing I still likes about him is his passing. He needs to work on a lot this summer.

That's why Silas put sengun on kyrie last game lol. Sengun was still reaching though and got on a lot of kyrie's highlight reels.

My biggest concern right now is that Sengun spends to much time in Turkey playing basketball, but not having professionals working on his upper body. I am confident he will develop a decent 3 pt shot and his team defense will improve with experience, but he really needs to beef up in the upper body because he is going to have to play a bunch of post defense next year, unless Silas’ continues to be a total bs defensive coach.

You’re tired of actual basketball skills?
He has the 4th best defensive rating on the team. One of the only players to try on that side consistently.

reaching in this case is not a bad strategy. This is a losing situation. If you are going to get beat anyway, why not take your chance?

the problem here is also with the coaching. This team has trouble using the pick and roll on offense and defending it almost regardless of personnel. That is a coaching issue. With Alperen it just becomes more obvious in defense.

He definitely needs to spend time in Turkey for mental health. He spent a year in the us not speaking his native language and he cannot speak english. Moving to a new country is already hard and much harder if you cannot speak the language. Ideally he would come back without playing any basketball and work on his body. But at his age, it is hard to make the right decision here. On the other hand, a successful national campaign may help him take the next step mentally in his career. Let's hope that he does not get injured or comes back too tired into the season.

In this case, stats lie my guy. If you watch games, you will know damn well this man plays the worst defence on the rockets roster.

I watch every game. And no, that’s not the case.
Sengun is a far better defender than Wood, makes more plays than Green and Mathews on the defensive side. Tate and KPJ are better defenders

Alright sengun dicc sucker. let's get this straight. the fact that we were down 20 does not mean sengun can just reach and play shitty defence. the culture in houston is that we play hard, and play the way we play from tip to finish. and please dont blame the coaching staff.
