You know to me who has the most different body from his early days to now? Robert Horry. Guy used to be a lean flying stick SF, now he is a PF at 240 with little lift, and a not so small shoulders/upper body. The only 2 things consistent in his game is he is still a terrific spot up jumpshooter and he still has no handle. I see no reason to suspect him of steroid use either, just noting an observation.
That's b/c once the Suns traded him to the Lakers, he was asked to bulk up to play the 4 alongside Shaq.
Horry is still a great player. He can still fly and dunk. He has gotten bigger/stronger. He can still shoot. He plays defense. Great veteran to have.
I understand that, but if we are talking about people bodies who have totally changed, he comes to my mind first. BTW Horry has never been a great NBA player. He was an excellent one for us (his peak), he was a solid starter for the Lakers his first years there, and he has been an oustanding back-up for the Spurs this year. You can say he is Big Shot Bob and money in the clutch (except 03 when his misses paved the way for the Spurs). You can say he is great about findings legends in the post to play with that capitilize on his strengths. You can also say he is an excellent role player who does a lot of things to help his team win. But let's not get carried away, the dude has never been more than the 3rd best player on his team, if that. Great player (by NBA standards), no. I personally hope he joins the Rockets for the vet min next year or retires--I am tired of seeing him help our rivals on I-10, one way or another.
I seriously doubt he would be messing around with steroids due to his kidney ailment and the fact that steroids are very hard on the kidneys and his are already in bad shape. But then again I guess anything is possible....
What kind of proof or evidence do the thread starter have? Or is it just wild speculation? If so then, did you know Jessica Simpson was a She male?
I find it funny that you guys use this as proof that he wasn't. I think he is stupid for playing basketball in the first place after kidney surgery. I understand he is passionate, but it ain't worth it.
