With my plan B you get the perfect mix of rookies and veterans. Don't forget we would still have Chuck, Taylor and Anderson.

Oops!! Forgot about that. What do you think about the rest. I know that getting all of this done will be a stretch, but maybe 2 or 3 of them get done.

    kobe for number 6 :D

    can i just ask something.

ok taking out kobe and lets say martin from the lakers and rockets. who is the better team?

    fisher/farmar brooks/lowry
    (martin)brown/vujaic (byrant) taylor/budinger
    artest/walton ariza/battier
    gasol/odom scola/hill
    bynum yao

now switch players...martin to lakers and kobe to rockets.

wouldnt that automatically make us champions?

Thank god morey doesnt get his trade ideas from here ..
Almost every idea I heard is unrealistic .. makes us worse .. undermines our player's value ..
I'll be happy if we just move up the draft and get someone like Greg Monroe ..

As a Plan B, I would totally welcome a "2nd overall pick/ Elton Brand" trade from Philly... something like

    Philly receives-
Shane Battier(Doug Collins loves this guy)
    Jared Jeffries
    Chase Budinger
    Rights to Sergio Llull
    2012 NY pick & 2011 NY pick(swap)

    Houston receives-
2010 2nd overall pick (Demarcus Cousins)
    Elton Brand (Albatross contract)

    Rockets 2010-11 Line-up:
    Brooks | Lowry
    Martin | Taylor
    Ariza | *George
    Scola | Hill | Brand
    Yao | *Cousins | Hayes

    *2nd pick & 14th pick

    No and No...

    A. We have our own Spaniard point guard coming to Houston next summer who could be just as good given that Rubio is just as much of a risk.
    B. Al Jefferson is an offensive minded PF who doesnt rebound/defend and is oft. injured.

    Move on.

Thank God someone finally said it. We should NOT want Al Jefferson. If we go after a big, we need an defense/shotblocking/rebound guy. We DON'T need offense. Without Yao last year we were 8th in the league in PPG.

Gheesh! all of these 3-5 moves needed to complete a plan B is a little extreme.

I don't think Morey will waste a whole lot of time pursuing Bosh, he will do his due dillignece though and let him know we want him and how he would fit in here. I think Miami has the upper hand for his services.

If Amare has not reached a handshake agreement with the Suns prior to July 1st, I think he becomes the next target for Morey. Something tells me he will reach that agreement before July 1st, so that removes him from the market.

After that, Morey resigns Scola and Lowry then we sign B Miller as a backup C.

That may be our summer people so sit tight and hope Yao's foot is ready to go and we can work Martin into the offense and Hill, CBud, and Ariza call continue to get better.

we need a big but certainly if we can get a player the caliber of Danny Granger, that would be the obvious best plan B, hes the best unknown star in the league and hes better than Joe Johnson thats for sure.. he jus isnt in a market where he can get the exposure he desreves, if he played for us he'd be the go to guy I luv Martin but Danny would be an upgrade.. but we need a big and I dont ever see that coming to fruition

    A couple things here-

    1. Anthony Randolph is not going to be playing the 3

    2. Why would you sign Shaq if you have Speights

    3. Can we please get over the shaq idea? In yao's absence, the Rockets have become a team that prides themselves in transition basketball. While it is important to have a serviceable C to eat minutes, a more agile one would be of more use. Shaq on the Rockets, would do exactly as he did for the Cavs, clog the middle.

Sheesh, one writer throws out shaq and he's now the buzz-name.

It's time for Morey to forget Amare and fleece this draft.
