RED= stop Green= go Yellow= floor it No light (Black) = cha cha slide? Serious note though, I would've done the same thing. If it is not red, I would go
There are ones where the green light just turns off. You have protected green for turns and then you have forbidden red for no turn. There is a possibility though for there to be no light lit which allows for turning but yielding.
If the green light to go straight was on, but your left arrow was OFF, as well as no red light, then that is a "Turn Left with Caution." Which is basically....if you're clear, then you can go. I have no idea what pouhe is talking about.
Maybe the lady wasn't familiar with the area and the light sequence and wasn't sure if it was safe to turn.
You are correct in the sequence. I go by this intersection every day so i am very familiar with the sequence by now. Also, dominators post made me lol
If it goes from green to "no light" to red, I would guess the "no light" is a burned out yellow. Most traffic lights go green, yellow, red. She can slow down or stop on yellow.
If there's a protected left turn light coming on within the next minute or 2, what's the big deal & hurry? Driving is nothing to mess with, and a wrong move at an intersection can be deadly. Go when you feel comfortable and safe going not when someone else honks at you to go. She could be new to that intersection and not understand the missing light and wants to wait for the green arrow. No big deal. But she didn't have to freak out like that. But I'm a woman, what do I know about driving
