Honestly, I can't see it working out for the Nuggets. There's no real PG on the team. They're going to be turnover prone as hell with Iverson and Melo.

I think it could turn out INCREDIBLE or HORRIBLE. Nothing in between.

The two top scoring players in the league on the same team = great.

But without a PG = who knows.

Ivy needs to put up a career season in FG% and asst/to ratio.

Who else thinks there's major potential for the Nuggets to bust?

Actually, the first game that AI and Melo will play together is a game here in Houston. Hopefully we are healthy as well, should be an exciting game.

In other news, Denver has petitioned David Stern to allow two balls in games played in Denver.

morey would not have done this trade since this is surely a high risk - high reward. denver could be a major bust like new york or be the greatest team in the nba.

damn, can you imagine how good they could be at full health, with some chemistry:

    1 - AI, Boykins
    2 - JR Smith, Hodge
    3 - Melo, DerMarr
4 - Kenyon, Najera, Reggie Evans
    5 - Camby, Nene Hilario

that team is stacked. too bad they have the infamous Rockets injury bug.

Philly didn't want to take back salary. But had to with Andre Miller.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is moved again near the trading deadline for an expiring contract.

T-Mac better be getting his health in order. If he continues to be injured the Rockets should look to deal him before the trading deadline.

I think AI trade works for the Nuggets. George Karl will ask Camelo to defer to AI this season in order to go deep into the playoff. AI, JR, Camelo, Nene, Camby is a good running team. Look for the Nuggets to finish 5/6 in the WC.

this is a no-brainer move for the nuggets regardless of how it turns out. iverson is close to as good as carmello so the suspension will be a lot easier to take now. the real test is when he comes back. this really sucks for the west which is now ridiculously strong but it also doesn't guarantee anything for denver.

Wow, it sounds like Denver got away with highway robbery. All they could get for AI was Miller? The draft picks aren't in the top 10 are they?

Does this mean there might be something else in the works as well? Sounds like the Sixers got shafted on that deal :/ .

As for Iverson in Denver, it is going to be interesting to see how he and Melo play together. I think they can make it work, which is bad for the rest of the West.

I am sure not the top 4. It depends on JVG. the Rockets can finish 5/6/7.

Dallas's pick. From Golden State (Tskitishvili trade) who got it from the Dampier trade.

Are you KIDDING me? Miller is one of the best pure PG's in the league!! He led the league in assists and is 3rd right now. It's not just the assists either, it's the asst/to RATIO.

The real question is, how the HELL are Denver paying all these contracts:

    Iverson
    Melo
    Nene
    Kenyon
    Camby

NONE of them expire any time soon. Even Najera has 10M and 2 years to go on his contract. Evans has 4M per season for 5 more!!

Where is the money coming from?

I would be VERY tempted to snatch away Kenyon Martin for next to nothing. When I say nothing, I mean our 3 least wanted contracts literally. Something like Juwan Howard, John Lucas and Rafer Alston.

What's worse is that Nene is still being brought along slowly, and Camby hadn't had his annual visit to the injury list yet.

    Something's gotta give.
