You're kidding, right? Surely you don't really think AI isn't a ballhog because of his high assists stat. There's a difference between getting assists through great ball movement(Kidd, Bibby, Nash, etc.) and some assists while the defense collapse on you while you dominate the ball(AI, Marbury, Francis, etc.).

Um what are you talking about... Everyone and the leagues momma knows AI is a huge ball hog ( oink oink )... I bet coaches around the league have sets made out for his ballhogism ( new word )Hell the only reason why the defense collapse is because they know AI has the ball 90 percent of the time ( exagerating a bit but not by alot ) So in that 10 percent someone has to be open. And its in that 10 percent AI will get the assist. :)

2 years ago, my roommate was from Philly and we had the NBA ticket. I watched probably 40 Sixers games. He isnt nearly the ballhog that he is made out to be. If someone is in a better position to score than him, then he dishes it. Unfortunately for him, he is surrounded by people who cant create their own shots, so basically, you have him dribbling the ball and the rest of the team standing, waiting, watching...

If the opportunity is there for a teammate to get a bucket, he doesnt hesitate to pass the ball. In that offense, its his role to score and he does it well. The fact that he can get 8 dimes a game is quite impressive. The guy is a stud, people just enjoy hating on him, so carry on...

AI's practice press conference, plus jim mora's "diddly-poo" comment plus jim mora's "playoffs?!...playoffs?!" outbreak are like the 3 hall of fame sports sound bytes of my lifetime. they are referenced so much and never lose their appeal.

mike tyson's fade into bolivian might make it into the HoF one day as well.

as for AI, he may dominate the ball a little too much, but his 8 assists were a significant increase for him and showed he's willing to dish more. putting up 30 pts, 8 asts, and 2.5 steals is incredible. now what were we talkin' bout?

Allen Iverson to check into The Betty Ford clinic for Ballhogolism - it's not a life choice - it's a disease.
