    LOL, if providing basic services to the poor in his country is "buying votes," then I give him nothing but kudos and would encourage him to keep buying.

    Based on the Google Translated version of that document, your allegation just isn't supported. I didn't see anyplace in the article where it said that Chavez pays people for votes, nor even busses them to the polls.

    I don't think the article means what you think it means.
