The most likely candidate is Goff at this point but it can change. Really hoping for a 1-15 or 2-14 team so the ownership feels pressure to get a real front office and coaching staff. The problem isn't just coaching, it is talent as well.
Yes, turning around a bad season CAN happen... when you have a HOF QB. Somebody get Warren's agent on the phone, it's time to turn our season around!
Bingo! The best outcome for us this year is to get rid of Rick Smith and get the best QB in the draft (whoever that may be).
I have said this before and wil say it again. If it comes to that point where it's a total house clean we have set this franchise back even further. If McNair got this wrong with Obrien we are in trouble unless our next hire is a big big SPLASH.
We need more than just one win bandit, we need an full blown makeover. This team is nowhere close to being the Houston Oilers that started off 1-4. We do not have the coaching nor the mentality to mount up 11 wins. It's very possible to win the next 3, but I do not see us beating the Bengals or Jets. Those two team have established a strong identity while we're still looking for some type of identity. But hey one can only hope, so here's to hoping bud.
All we need is a defense that doesn't just look good on paper and can actually stop somebody every now and then...
