C - Kareem Abdul Jabar PF - Hakeem Olajuwon SF - Larry Bird SG - George Gervin PG - Oscar Robertson Probably a bit soft on the defensive end.
Dream has blocked Kareem's skyhook. I would go with a lineup that consists of players that can 1) Create for themselves on offense 2) Create for others on offense 3) Can play tremendous man-to-man defense 4) Can play tremendous help defense 5) All 5 players can shoot from outside 5) and finally players with least amount of weakness you could exploit. if legends are going to go against legends, they will look for weakness they can take advantage of. Team with well rounded players at each position will most likely win. Hakeem - C Garnett - PF (probably the weakest link by talent on this team, but the player that compliments the other 4 perfectly on offense and defense) Lebron - SF Jordan - G Kobe - G
Because you think that way? I would make a case of him being the best defensive guard ever. Surely he would be considered as strong candidate by majority. Offensively, he proved what he could do when Jordan was out. It's hard to pick 50 greatest players and not find a case for someone who wasn't picked, let alone 10. Scottie is one of the greatest guards ever.
daym. u left moses malone and rudy t. off of there? but have horry? i understand tho. Choosing rockets is hard. fine. my list will be controversial as well. C- Hakeem F- Moses Malone F- Matt Bullard or Ralph Sampson (my head says Sampson but my heart says bullard) G- Vernon Maxwell G- Sam Cassell
Why is evebody writting prime Mcgrady? Like nowadays Shaq is any worth.. or Duncan for a matter of fact.. Say this one: Magic Jordan Drazen Petrovic Duncan Mutombo
He was barely a top 10 player of his era, let alone of all time. Dream MJ Clyde Robinson Barkley Malone Stockton Shaq Ewing
Did you ever see Oscar Robertson play? Or Walt Frazier? Or John Havlecik (sp?)? How about Gary Payton? Or Michael Cooper, the only player that Jordan said could guard him. There were better defensive guards than Pippen. When you put a team like this together, if it was going to work in real life, then you need guys who didn't need to have the ball all of the time. A team with five guys who demand that the offense run through them just isn't gonna work. That means no Jordan, no Kobe, no Hakeem, and maybe some others that have been mentioned quite often. It would also be better to have guys who weren't defensive liabilities. For me, that means no Magic, as great as he was.
Pippen was the first of the point forward guys and could legitimately guard three positions. When Mark Jackson was killing their point guards in the post, they stuck Pippen on him, i think Pippen was vastly underrated on the Bulls and one the greatest perimeter defensive players ever. On the Rockets however, I have a diff. opinion...
PG: Stockton SG: Jordan SF: Battier (Do I really need a lot of scoring on my team?) PF: Dirk C: Hakeem
the difference b/w max and mj is farrrrrrrrrr greater than that b/w stockton and magic, and you knew it.
