Did I hear that right? He AVERAGED 20 pts/rbs and 9 blocks for his 1983 Final Four appearance? Wow! I am more amazed with Hakeem right now.
Yeah and unfortunatly for him he didn't box out one player on one play that cost him the championship. i guess unfortunate for me too since i am a U of H alumni lol.
In a way I'm kind of glad that happened, otherwise I doubt we'd be sitting pretty with 2 NBA championships. Both of which the University of Houston can lay a lot of claim to.
after a poster started to say they didn't know who Havlicek was alot of posters doubt the inteligence of posters. p.s. i'm really glad you were kidding, i also started doubting you.
Drexler had a good approach to that... he said if U of H had won, the world would have not gotten to know Valvano and the greater good was served by that turn of events. (or something like that)
isn't it stated clearly Kareem formly Lew Alcindor above his pic? can you read? if you were joking, sorry, it's not funny.
Just thought I'd point out that they're doing the voting on forwards now, but they released two new "Fuel For The Soul" commercials (which I think are great, as opposed to the NIKE greatness campaign which blows) and both are former Rockets: Elvin Hayes and Glen Rice. http://www.ncaasports.com/basketball/mens/pontiac/AVT_NCAABB (bottom left under "View Pontiac's TV Spots") Watching Rice ... wow, it was almost hard to remember he used to do all those things.
