First, sorry for the big pic...(done on IPad) didn't look that big...then again it is Hakeem. Backcourt vs Backcourt Reggie could hit the 3, but he would have no chance guarding the Iceman. Isiah would match up well with Rondo. This backcourt battle though has to go to Isiah & Ice. RedNation Frontcourt vs Frontcout One word Dream. Imagine if Dream had a LeBron on the wing? Wes rebounding and throwing those outlet passes to a streaking LeBron or Hakeem would be a thing of beauty. Dirk and McGrady are potent offensive weapons, but not the same as Dream and LeBron. Dirk's ability to take Hakeem away from the basket would be an advantage, but in his prime Dream was also a great perimeter defender. Jamers Best team defence This one is not even close, apart from Dikembe, who defends on RedNation? Jamers even has Michael Cooper coming off the bench! Jamers Best team offence As much as it would be a Dream to have had LeBron and Reggie surrounding Hakeem, for offensive punch...Isiah, Ice, T-Mac & Dirk. Wow. RedNation Best team bench Sidney Moncrief, Dolph & Tiny make up a brutal bench. Kevin Johnson & Michael Cooper are a great selection...but Bill Walton? I always thought (due to injuries) that he was overrated. Flame on me if you will grateful dead fans, but I said it. Split decision... RedNation Inside scoring Spoiler Spoiler Jamers Outside scoring Reggie the Great 3 point shooter, LeBron with his improved shot, Michael Cooper & Kevin Johnson's peak season (40+%) vs Isiah, Gervin, T-Mac, Dirk... Isiah & Gervin were more mid-range shooters... T-Mac and LeBron statistically cancel each other out, So Dirk vs Miller: Dirk best 3 seasons: .421 .416 .406 Reggie .429 .427 .421 Reggie was better. But overall for team outside scoring one would have to say RedNation, but with Johnson and Michael Cooper coming off the bench with his Long range shooting. I give another split decision to... Jamers Winner is Jamers in 7 games This on was very hard to give. But in reality, steam with Dream, LeBron & Reggie is going to beat out Dirk, Deke & T-Mac.
Jamers defended Hc since we are in cf and he has the dream. Let's pretend we are on a non-rockets board now
Lebron from 3- .344, . 351, .362 Tmac from 3- .364, .376, .386, From tmacs best three, his worst is higher than james' best, so it's not really cancelling each other out. If he plays like he did yesterday though, he'd probably average .550 from 3
This came SOOOOO close to a coin toss to decide. I love ya RedNation, but That Dream Shake! Still Bros?
 I understand. I knew I would be at a disadvantage at the very start. If I had the opportunity to draft Hakeem, believe me, I would. Then Lebron goes off and has a historic performance the day the matchups go up I hate Lebron. Last draft I had him and he played bad the day voting was up, and I lost.
RedNation offense > My offense But my defense >>>>>>>>> RedNation I created a team, not a bunch of scorers who most likely dominate the ball. I didn't draft the likes of Kobe who take close to 30 shots per game and rarely pass to his teammates. Rondo rarely shoot, Miller don't shoot that much, Unseld take 7 shots per game. LeBron and Hakeem is the big part of the team here, they will provide scoring anywhere on the court, with miller fighting through screens to shoot threes, i think my team is unstoppable. Bill walton is the only guy who won sixth man of the year and MVP, finals MVP in the same year This is a team.
Jamers wins. He has one of the best defensive players ever to guard Dirk, Lebron to guard T-Mac, and Rondo to attempt to slow down Isiah. He has Rondo to play quarterback and set up all of these great players, along with a great shooter to space the floor on offense for the rest of the team. The benches in this series are both above average, so I can't really decide on that, but going with the starting 5, I think Jamers is the favorite here. I'm sorry, red.
PG: I really like Rondo against Thomas in this matchup, but we cannot play the what-if game, or look into the crystal ball to see how Rondo is in a few years. I have to go with Thomas. He is very versatile and would keep Rondo on his toes. I believe that Rondo would have the ability to create some shots near the inside, but IF he gets past Thomas, Deke is there to get that outta here. RedNation SG: Two sharpshooters at SG, another matchup that I like. I am a big Reggie fan, and I believe that he would get the better of Gervin. Miller does lack in having a less capable pull-up shooting PG to bail out to, but the other 3 men on the team are more than capable of finishing at the rim. These guys would probably drop 30-40 pts on each other in a rainstorm of buckets Jamers SF: Both great players, but I will take the more skilled player defensively in LeBron. McGrady would get his points, but he would definitely have to work for them. LeBron is the better finisher inside, IMO, so I think the slight advantage goes toward Jamers PF: Line-up change for Jamers? Hmmmm. I am going to go with Dirk in this matchup. He can drain it from anywhere on the court, and would provide the bulk of the scoring down low. Let's face it, RedNation would be happy with 10-15 from Mutombo with a high FG%. RedNation C: Two of the best shot blockers of all time, but I have to go with Dream here. His offensive game is just too versatile, and Deke would get blended Robinson style. Shame on you for riding Dream all the way to the victory on a Rockets msg board Jamers Bench: I like bringing Walton in off of the bench and I feel that this was a good move for the matchup. However, I do feel that RedNations bench is a bit deeper than Jamers, so I will give a slight edge to RedNation The points seem to add up 3-3, but the Bench was the closest edge out of the 6 points. I have to go with the duo of Lebron/Dream to take this matchup Jamers
Sorry guys, been too busy with work and end of school stuff (Oregon got out today) to play much in this round. I would also go with Jamers because of Olajuwon over Dikembe and Lebron's versatility in Ding up on the wings.
