Stephen A Smith- i like him he has great interviews. The WORST : Joe Buck his reaction to Randy Moss two years ago was OUT OF LINE. Doug Collins- i think he is gay and toooooooooooo soft. He did not coach the Wizards , MJ did.
Bill Walton is definitely the Napoleon Dynamite of NBA commentators...you either love him or hate him. Personally, I think he's awesome. He has developed a very sharp cynicism after doing color for so many horrible Clippers teams, he kind of lets it all flow when he's doing national games. Plus, he's probably the most knowledgable basketball person working today. He knows how to play the game. He had to learn how to play smart because of his knee problems. He could get a coaching job in a second if he weren't making a crapload of money on TV. I don't really dislike any of the commentators or writers. They're basically stating their opinions, and unless something directly affects me, people can say whatever they want without it bothering me too much. That's what a mute button is for. The only thing that slightly annoys me is the black guys that make everything into a racial debate.
Find Walton, Smith, and pretty much every other NBA analyst except the TNT halftime group. Hubie is knowledgeable so I'll listen to him as well.
Bill Walton can take the top 5 spots for me as far as worst accouncer, he is annoying and i have to mute the t.v. if he is ever announcing a game i want to watch. Jim Rome is incredibly annoying. Stephen A. Smith is funny though i and enjoy his show. Woody Paige is as stupid as it gets but he is entertaining at the same time although i rarely agree with him
AGREED!! I thought something else had happened after the camera turned away by his reaction....I thought he took a piss on the ball or something....His reaction was extremely uncalled for
Randy Moss fake-mooned the Green Bay crowd during a playoff game two years ago. Joe Buck acted like he not only actually pulled his pants down, but that he explosive-diarrheaed all over the crowd, which one would imply by Buck's self-righteousness, was full of the elderly, handicapped, and amputeed war veterans.
I used to hate Walton, now I really like him. He is a big Dream and Yao guy and I like his story. Plus he used to play on lsd. I hate Bob Costas. He called Houston a morgue during the finals and he was so homering for New York it was sickening. You could tell he was about to cry when they presented the Rockets the trophy. I hate that guy.
lol People must understand that walton acts like he does for a certain reason. Personally I like Greg Anthony and Tim Legler. They compliment each other and tell it like it is. They don't have the best style but they do have substance. Unline Steven A, they have basketball knowledge.
I hate Tommy Heinson. I hated him back when he called the finals in '86, and I hate him everytime I hear him on League Pass. I hate Peter Vescey They are probably the only guys I hate. I have a mild dislike for Tom tolbert, Bill Walton, and Hubie Brown. I love Marv Albert, Bob Costas, Bill Worrell and Calvin Murphy. I like John Ireland, and Van Chancellor.
Danny Ainge is on my list of hate. He did a short stint on tnt and he sucked. You could tell john tompson hated him. There where a couple of times they sounded like they where going to start throwing punches.
I'd be better off simply saying which analysts I do like. I like the Atlanta Hawks announcers. They're not homer biased which probably on any another team would get them fired but since its Atlanta they can announce a fair game. Probably the only other announcers I like to hear on my NBA package when the Rockets are on the road. As far as national TV goes I'm stumped. Collins and Hubie Brown are generally fair in their analysis but they're both flakes when it comes to officiating. Collins always sounds unsure, and Hubie Brown just talks slow. They're also boring. The announcer that does the "Right between the eyes" line is alright. Other others suck.
the best for a championship game or series ....Bob Costas or Marv Albert both are even-keeled but electric with a big play.
