Wow, can't believe I missed that one either. I used to cringe when I would see the balling swinging his way at the top of the perimeter for one of his sleepy 3s.

I also have bad memories of Sabonis, though that may be mostly that shot he hit after the buzzer to win the game for Portland that the refs blew the call on.

I'm surprised no one mentioned James Worthy...hell, we even had HPD bust him for hookers. Then he comes into the game, with the Rox having a comfortable margin, and lights Buck Johnson up like a Christmas tree and the Lakers win the game. I will never forget Don Chaney's clipboard flying when Worthy made the go ahead basket!

Vernon Maxwell when he was with San Antonio before we got him for $25,000... he killed us afterwards too...

But the guy that sticks out the most to me is Dale Ellis who in my opinion was the best catch and shoot player I've ever seen including Reggie Miller.

for some reason the first person i thought of after nate mcmillan was mookie blalock. i don't think he every missed a shot against us and he seemed to get a steal every time down the court. he and steve smith on the hawks was brutal.

then you can add in pretty much anyone who wore a sonics jersey in the early to mid 90's and richmond and hornacek and others.

I think that this thread can best be summarized by:

The Sonics of the 90s and Derek Harper.

    Nate McMillan

We have the game under control (lets say, up by 8 late in the 4th). Nate would come in a hit TWO 3's in a row and give the Soncis a "boost." The rest of the Soncis team would take over....and win the game.

Boxscore for Nate: 6 points....

Nate vs the Rockets is like Horry (Lakers) vs the Kings/Blazers.

    Bob Sura.

He always destroyed us with those repeated layups. When we got him it was the first thing I remembered.
