    You are right about Briscoe and Gilliam. I can't believe I forgot about them!

    Harris was the first black starting QB in the NFL for an entire season. I don't think Gilliam ever was a starter for an entire season. Briscoe was the first black starting QB, but that was in the AFL with the Broncos and I'm not sure if that was for the entire season.

    Tough to say for sure, but I'd probably have to go with Barry Sanders or Eddie George.

    I recall that Gilliam alternated with Terry Hanratty. Briscoe was primarily a change of pace QB with the occasional start. Harris was very good; I think he is an executive with the Jaguars now.

    Never did a T.O. celebration. Records didn't mean anything to him. Never was in your face type of player. Humble about Talent.

    And nobody could even touch him.
