I'm looking for some good Screwed and Chopped music from Houston. There is one that they play on the radio that sounds like a bunch of guys taking turns freestyling, but I have no idea what it's called or who is rapping. It's like the screwed and chopped anthem because they always play it on the radio. Anyone know the name of that song?
How is Magno not on the list? Magnificent fo sho. Mike jones was tight when he was still unknown and putting out tracks with chamill and magno on them. Paul wall also used to be good just like flipper. they all seemed to change when they went big time and their tunes just became crappier. I just listen to their old stuff now. Also, thats crazy all that ish with Z-ro, Trae, Aztek and Sugar Shane. I went to hs with Aztek and played pickup soccer at clements with him and some other cats during the holidays a few years back. Dude is from the SL but is a big poser, acting like he's from the hood and grew up rough. I read somewhere he said his dad was dead when in fact my boy saw his dad at Randalls off hwy 6 and williams trace not too long ago. dude's a fake. Also he no doubt at all that homie did steriods cos he got jacked quicker than most dudes do, I know weights and eating right can help but he got swoll real fast. pugsly, i thought chamillionaires name was Hakim seriki not dayo seriki.
Yeah, I saw Bun B interviewed on TV and amazed me how intelligent he talked. Too bad that didn't rub off on Pimp C.
I haven't read this thread yet, but Scarface/ Ghetto boys are the foundation, but I really like Paul Wall -- he has some true skills across the board. Houston is erupting right now -- so much good stuff coming out.
Poor choices for the poll, but I think Chamillionaire has to be tops. To have the library he has with only one major LP is ridiculous. The guy just has so much potential...he really can rap about anything. I would love for him to go into serious mode and put out a Reasonable Doubt-level classic. Scarface is the legend, but Chamillionaire will only go up from here.
