I wonder if all other forums are ripping a new a**hole on their teams, as much as we are doing here? >.< I think ours is the worst, because we are witnessing missed close range lay ups (and shots too), turnovers, and not making free throws. So here is my solution: A) Deduct from bonuses for missed free throws B) Deduct from bonuses for turnovers C) Fine Ref's for wrong calls (this should allow the game to flow more freely without stoppage) D) Allow each team to have the ability to re-evaluate calls, taking power away from the Ref's, they should be officiating the game and not controlling it. Just my input for the greatest game ever created IMO. Happy Moms day to all!
The first period "no calls" set the tone for things to come. No excuse for lack of defense in the 3rd quarter but the way they refused to call fouls on the Clippers but with ease on the Rockets set the tone in the 1st period. Even if it were close, the Clippers would have won. The Rockets could have only pulled that game out with a blowout.
Ignore the other guy. I saw the same thing and for a mentally weak team, I am very aware of how it affected the rest of the game. That being said, the Rockets hung in there and I thought we had matured. Then, Josh Smith came in and played anything but smoothly.. Bang; there goes the game.
I watched the game twice and didn't notice any ref disparity in the first quarter. I think this is another excuse. It is the playoffs. 99% of the time the refs don't whistle like in the regular season. Regardless the refs weren't a game changing factor, and they didn't miss any absurd obvious calls. Instead of looking at factors that are out of our control we should look at the horrendous defence. That is the game changing factor.
