LOL @ Kenny saying Kevin Love doesn't deserve to be an All-Star because his team sucks.

Then why did Blake Griffin get voted in?

Love should replace Yao, but I'm baffled if the league chooses Nash like Y! Sports is reporting.

You would have 4 PG on the team, doesn't make any sense.

I'm not sure who I would take off the roster, but Monta Ellis is having an All-Star year. Even if his team sucks.

I also agree that Kevin Love should be in, although I completely disagree with those hating on the Griffin selection. Griffin has played allstar level, and has been defended as an allstar all season. Teams didn't used to prepare to go in and face the Clippers, it was just a token win. Now they actually take time to put some strategy into games vs. the clippers, as well as usually have their defense focused around stopping Griffin. Yeah Clips have a decent roster overall as well, but he is the focal point, the star, the main cog in the machine that needs to be dealt with as any true all star would/should be.

Dont get me wrong, i think timmy duncan is an amazing player but Kevin Love is averaging 21.4pts and 15.5rebs while Duncans averaging 13.5pts and 9.3rebs. How in the world did they put Duncan in over Love?

You don't take out anyone, the poster specifically said every team has AT LEAST one player representing.

All-star game having every team having a representative would be a terrible idea. That would cause way more snubs.

    Uh, Clippers aren't losing anymore.

They are 14-8 since mid december. That's 3 more more wins than Minn has all year.

You have to remember; before Griffins breakout game Nov 20th (44pts 15 rb 7 ast), the Clippers were 1-11.

Now that they realize everything starts with Griffin, they are winning.

The selections for this year's All-Star teams are actually pretty good, IMO. Aside from the Yao pick by the fans (and Yao at least has an established history of All-Star performance, and could potentially be back next year), there isn't anybody here that I would laugh off. Not like in past years, when the coaches have given us one hit wonders like Dale Davis, Wally Szczerbiak, Jamaal Magloire, Chris Kaman, or Mo Williams. Guys who had no business being mentioned as All-Stars in the league's record books.

Sure, Kevin Love got snubbed, and you could argue that Boozer deserves to be there. But the guys picked over them, such as Gasol, Dirk, and Bosh, are all for real. This is the unfortunate effect of the league's depth of talent at the PF position. But everyone going to the All-Star game this year either has a long history of star performance, or is playing so well this year that they deserve to go (Blake Griffin, Westbrook). Love could still get in, since Stern has to pick someone to replace Yao.

Unfortunate for Love, Ellis, Aldridge, and Z-Bo, but that's the nature of the game. Those 4 + Lamar Odom were more deserving than Timmy Duncan, IMO.

Think of it as basically a lifetime achievement award, really. I mean, they made Kidd an all-star last year, and that was total bullcrap. I view this as more or less the same thing.

so you think the all-star teams, should be like 20 players in one team?
then the stars that the people wants to see would play less.
or some players would not even enter the game, so why is the point taking them if they are not even going to play.

Maybe coz Kevin love team is 11-38 and San antonio is 41-8. Coaches look a lot at team records, and a lot of them still believe duncan is coasting throw the regular season, playing only 29 mins, but he can still get it done ( not sure if thats true, will have to wait until the playoffs).
Kevin love incredible numbers dosent translate on wins and i know his team sucks, but he is part of that team, he is as bad defender as the rest of his teammates, so its also partially his responsability. Still he is an outstanding rebounder and a good shooter for his size, i like him a lot, but Lamarcus aldridge shoudl have been called instead of him, he is carrying the blazers almost alone, with lot of injured guys and his team is above .500
