While I would have liked Francis and Yao to get more minutes I really did like how they rep'd our team. That pass from Yao to Steve was a great highlight

How about Tim Duncan huh. You can just see he doesn't know what to do out there. We all know the ASG isn't a big man's game, especially a fundamental one. Yao benefitted from Steve being in the game and got couple of alley-oops. Duncan was doing jump hooks and turn around jumpers off the glass. He really is a classy guy so I guess felt bad for him with all those showboaters out there.

so what's the point of this whole All-star thing, exactly?

what's the point of counting fans' votes? making start lineups, etc?

I personally think the whole system is flawed.

    And Yao looks pissed.

I was just thinking a front court with both Yao and Shaq would be sick. Put Shaq in the paint and Yao at high post, and how can the opponents play D? Both players need double team on D.:)

Yeah I thought just for the fun of it flip would put all 7 footers out there. Even if they wanted Shaq out there at the end, they should have put in Yao at 4. Also what was the deal with Ray Allen being there in Steves spot. Its obvious who the fans wanted out there on the court. Thats some dumb stuff. And if I was Vince Carter, I would let the coach know how i felt about him. The coach put Jason Kidd in there instead of him. Kidd is a good player but for that last second shot you want Carter in there to take it. Kidd even got a touch and didnt try for a three.

All others players are just better than Vince so I guess the coach want the best in there to try to win the game. As far as playing Yao and Shaq at the same time, I can see that happen if the West are leading by a huge margin, but the game was so close, so they weren't able to do that....which suck though, cuz i am sure fans want to see it happen. They've done it last year though.

    Francis 6-9 for 13 pts
    Yao 8-14 for 16 pts

Shaq took the most shots....12-19 for 24 pts
    Kobe 9-12 for 20 pts

Why the hell are people complaining? I'm DAMN GLAD both Yao and Steve got taken out. We just saw Brad Miller get injured (suck my ass Queens), you want one of them to be injured too? Hey, when Yao and Steve are both 32+ with 3 rings under their belt, they can go for the meaningless ASG MVP all they want.

This year their goal was put all 7-footers out there unlike last year they still keep SF on the court for PG, they want done a lineup like this:

    PG: Shaq
    SG: KG
    SF: Dirk
    PF: Duncan
    C: Yao

Was it just me or did Kobe ballhog all night. Steve was trying to give Yao more touches because he knew the others where going to freeze Yao out.

If I remember right, last year they had Yao, Shaq, TD, KG, and Dirk 5 7-footers on the court for a couple of minutes.

Yea i was looking foward to that, the 7 foot team for the west would of been fun to watch.

I hope TNT dosent have the All-Star game next year, they did a horrible job covering the game.

Yao was passive at last year's ASG but this year, he was really aggressive at scoring opportunities.

It was also funny to see that Yao got the ball at the 3 point line and none of his teammates wanted to get free to get the pass. It seems that they were all encouraging Yao to take the 3.

Yeah, the fans wanted to see that...it was funny. Most of them know that Yao can actually hit that shot.

But in the past Shaq would get the same type of rooting on....to shoot a 3.

Yao actually showed he doesn't get there by mistake. And Steve has some awesome plays.

    That's all good to me.
